Our amazing summer campers made the news! 📰

🐈‍⬛ Primrose School at Edinburgh Commons families and students came together to donate over 1,000 items to our local Humane Society! 🐶 Our Explorers were able to live out Primrose’s vision surrounding giving which is, “to give without the expectation of receiving”.

🐕Explorer Community Partner 🐈

Every year our school holds a pet drive called Paws For a Cause, which collects items need for the society. Our Explorers counted every handmade dog collar, cat toy, and bag of food to equal over 1,120 items! Our next stop was driving to the Chesapeake Humane Society to hand deliver the haul!

Our Explorers learned all about our Primrose philosophy of giving without the expectation of receiving something in return. Thankfully we were able to love on a few of their loveable animals! 🐾

Dress up Friday's are always fun in the summer and this Friday we dressed like our favorite Primrose Pal! Our Primrose friends teach us about all the developmental characteristics it takes to become a kind member of our community. Enjoy the cuteness overload!

🍋 Explorer Philanthropists In Action 🍋

Lemonade, handmade bracelets, and homemade cookies were all the rage during our Anthem Lemonade Stand!

All month long our Explorers spent their non-field trips days learning to make rubber bracelets and baking frosting from scratch! They had a goal of beating last year’s total of $670 and worked hard to crush that goal!

This year the Explorers raised over $970! 🎉

Thank you to our parents for supporting our Explorers and bringing joy to our budding entrepreneurs!

Happy 6️⃣ year anniversary to Ms. Braxton, our Assistant Director. She started with us when we first opened as a PK closer, then moved to the infant classroom and eventually our front desk!

🎨Budding Artists At Work🖌

We partnered with to create our very own masterpieces! Infants through Preschool created either a figurine or a handprint tile. We can not wait to see how proud our little artists will be once they see the finished pieces!

This summer our Pre-Kindergarten and Explorer students sharpened their agility and quiet movements with our partner, 🌟 The Starz Program -Ninja Fitness 🥷 Program. Watch out for their smooth ninja chops!

One of the most meaningful lessons children can learn is that their actions can help others. 💗 ​

Our Spring Fling is an annual, carnival-themed fundraiser that lets Primrose students experience the joy of giving back to families in their community and beyond. This year, through fun auctions, games, food and more, children helped raise more than $560,000 for local charities and the Primrose Schools Partnership for Children℠. ​

PSEC takes cleanliness very seriously! Our Infants are learning about handwashing
through a fun piggy-back nursery rhymes.

We are teaching our Infants how to wash their hands in preparation for their new classroom in September! The Infant teachers shared that when we wash our hands, it's helpful to wash them for as long as it takes to sing a short song, making sure they are clean from soap.
Once we finished washing, we demonstrated the signs for “all done” and “wash hands". 🫧

Good friends make the world go 'round! To celebrate International Day of Friendship, our students are making t-shirts/bags and bracelets to celebrate our classroom friendship!

It is evident that PSEC we are growing the next round of influential leaders. During our career day dress up Friday, not only did we see future first responders, but we also encountered students who wanted to “be the person who shows others love and kindness” ❤️.

At Primrose we believe who children become is as important as what they know!

Sometimes what children say sounds funny, but what they really mean is love. 💗​

These little observations are their way of noticing the care, effort and heart moms pour into everyday moments, even if the words come out a bit differently.​
