Our community lost a legend. Lt Rich Risoli NYC Mounted (ret) passed away today at the age of 88. He was a trend setter and left his mark of the famous NY Mounted Unit. In retirement he helped with the remount schools at Gettysburg with Jim Kralik, Carmine Romeo, and Raymond Starner. He was a guest speaker at our last Remount Class in Gettysburg in 2017. Historical note, he was the guy behind the “Wanted” for police work posters in NYC in the ‘70s that everyone copies today.
Rich was one of a kind. We will miss him but are glad to have known him.

Subject: This Giving Tuesday, Support Hero Kids Foundation and Make an Impact!

Dear Hero Kids Foundation Family and Friends,

Today, on Giving Tuesday, I invite you to join Hero Kids Foundation in our mission to support military and first responder families through impactful, nature-based programs.

This year, we aim to raise $13,000 to:

Improve our pastures by building essential run-ins for our therapy animals.
Create "alternative spaces" using 20-foot shipping containers—safe, creative environments for mental health professionals to support families in need.
How You Can Help

Your support can make a profound difference through a one-time gift or, even better, a recurring monthly donation.
You can directly contribute to creating a stronger, more resilient community for as little as $10 per month—less than the cost of your favorite coffee or meal deal.

Exclusive Thank-You Gifts

To show our gratitude, we’re offering limited-edition gifts for our unique donors:

Recurring Donations of $12/month: Receive a 10th-anniversary water bottle (First 25 donors).
Recurring Donations of $21.50/month: Receive a 10th-anniversary beach towel and tee (Limited sizes, first come, first served).
One-Time Donation of $53: Receive a 10th-anniversary tote bag (First 25 donors).
One-Time or Recurring Donations of $100+/month:
Be entered into a drawing for a getaway package to the Caboose Inn at Doolittle Station, Dubois, PA.
First 25 donors also receive a tote, tee, and beach towel combo!
Recurring donations receive 14 entries into the drawing.

Thank you,
Ric
