Our community lost a legend. Lt Rich Risoli NYC Mounted (ret) passed away today at the age of 88. He was a trend setter and left his mark of the famous NY Mounted Unit. In retirement he helped with the remount schools at Gettysburg with Jim Kralik, Carmine Romeo, and Raymond Starner. He was a guest speaker at our last Remount Class in Gettysburg in 2017. Historical note, he was the guy behind the “Wanted” for police work posters in NYC in the ‘70s that everyone copies today.
Rich was one of a kind. We will miss him but are glad to have known him.
