Last week, our JMS administrators and teachers joined leaders from across the district for the 2026 Empower Leadership Conference!

Our leaders had the opportunity to collaborate, share ideas, and strategize for the upcoming school year. They returned to Jolliff energized, inspired, and ready to welcome our students and staff back for another outstanding year!

Many of you already know Mrs. Fitz as one of our outstanding teachers here at JMS and a valued member of the Jaguar family. We are thrilled to have her lead our cheer program and can't wait to see the energy, spirit, and enthusiasm she brings to our team!

Over the summer, our teachers, counselors, and administrators continued to learn and grow through meaningful professional development opportunities.

This month, several of our Jags had the opportunity to participate in the Virginia Space Grant Consortium's "Bringing Space to the Middle School Classroom" program. Mrs. Swindle, Mrs. Negroni, Mr. Barnard, Mrs. Windley, and Ms. Daniels attended this innovative, hands-on learning experience at the Old Dominion University Peninsula Higher Education Center.

We are proud of our staff for investing in new ideas and experiences that will inspire our students and bring engaging, real-world learning into our classrooms. Way to represent Jolliff Middle School!
