The 8th Grade had a blast celebrating the end of the year with an ice cream social and field day. We had a great year, Jags!

And just like that, another amazing school year at Jolliff Middle School has come to an end! 🎉

Yesterday marked our last day of school, and what an incredible year it has been. From academic achievements and athletic successes to school events, friendships, and unforgettable memories, our students and staff made this year truly special.

To our 8th graders, we are so proud of all you have accomplished during your time at JMS. As you begin your high school journey, we wish you the very best of luck and know you will continue to do great things. Once a Jaguar, always a Jaguar! 💙💛

Interested in trying out for JMS basketball next year? Conditioning begins next week! Both boys and girls are welcomed. All athletes must have a physical on file with JMS.

From iconic pairs to legendary groups, the creativity, teamwork, and school spirit were on full display. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 💙💛

8th Grade Spirit Week – Take Over Tuesday!

Yesterday was Take Over Tuesday for 8th Grade Spirit Week, and our 8th graders truly ruled the school! Students stepped into a variety of staff roles throughout the day, taking over positions such as Principal, Assistant Principal, front office staff, school counselors, classroom teachers, and even PE teachers in the gym.

Our 8th graders showed leadership, responsibility, and confidence as they experienced what it takes to keep a school running smoothly. They proved they are more than ready to take the next step and excel in high school next year.

Way to go, Jags! You conquered middle school and showed everyone what great leaders you can be. 🐾🎓

Monday Night, Jalen Marchetti-Griffin and Coach Diette were honored at the School Board meeting for an incredible track season!

Jalen was recognized for earning 1st Place in both the 800-meter run and the 1600-meter run at the Citywide Middle School Track Meet. His hard work, dedication, and determination throughout the season led to an outstanding performance on the track.

Congratulations to Jalen on an amazing season and this well-deserved recognition! We are proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing your continued success.

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, we celebrate our 8th graders as they prepare to begin their high school journey! This week is all about our 8th grade class, featuring a spirit week designed by them, for them.

Yesterday kicked off the fun with Surfers vs. Cowboys Day. The results are in, and it's safe to say everyone has summer on their mind! 🌊☀️ Surfers were the clear winners, taking over the halls with beach vibes and summer spirit.

Sorry, Cowboys—we only spotted about three of you all day!

We can't wait to see what the rest of Spirit Week brings as we celebrate an amazing group of Jaguars!

✨ A Night to Remember for Our 8th Grade Jags! ✨

Fun was had by all at Saturday's 8th Grade Semi-Formal, "Enchanted Forest." As our students begin wrapping up their middle school journey, they celebrated in style with an evening filled with music, dancing, laughter, and memories that will last a lifetime.

The dance floor was packed as students danced the night away, and many of our girls got their first lesson in the true challenge of wearing high heels all evening! From the decorations to the smiles, it was a magical night for everyone involved.

As these Jags prepare to take the next step into high school, we are proud of all they have accomplished and excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. We will miss this incredible group of students and wish them nothing but success as they begin their high school journey.
