Yesterday, our Veritas Collegiate Academy Washington D.C. campus had the privilege of presenting our after-school VEX Robotics Program and introducing an exciting new addition to Veritas—our Drone Program! Students demonstrated both robotics and drone technology for a wonderful group of students and parents. We are especially excited to expand our STEM opportunities through this new Drone Program and look forward to another great partnership with Dr. Yang and Karen He and the Academy of Excellence Robotics in Bethesda, Maryland!

On our Veritas Washington D.C. campus, we are excited to host our annual Upper School Club Fair on Friday, September 18, from 11:10–11:50 a.m. in the school cafeteria during lunch.

The Club Fair is your opportunity to explore life at Veritas beyond the classroom, meet faculty advisors and student leaders, learn about club activities, and find new ways to get involved. Our goal is for every student to find a place to belong, serve, lead, and grow.

Clubs represented will include Sports Science, Model United Nations, Chess, AI, AutoCAD, Madrigal, Arabic & Middle Eastern Culture, Journalism/School Newspaper, Chinese Drama & Acting, Worship, and Medical Explorers, along with our student-led service clubs Hands of Hope and Help Us Help Them. Additional clubs may also be represented.

During lunch, walk the tables, meet the club leaders, ask questions, and discover something new. We encourage every Upper School student to find at least one club or activity where you can get involved this year!

We look forward to seeing you at the Club Fair!

What a fantastic start to the 2026–2027 school year at Veritas Collegiate Academy’s Washington, D.C. campus! Our students celebrated the first day with our annual Team-Building Games at Virginia Highlands Park, a favorite Veritas tradition filled with friendly competition, laughter, teamwork, and school spirit. More than just fun, this special day helps students reconnect, welcome new classmates, build friendships, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Veritas so special. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin the year!

With the college application season well underway, Friday, Veritas Collegiate Academy Washington D.C. campus successfully hosted our annual College Boot Camp, “From High School to College: Build a Stronger Application.” We had an excellent turnout of approximately 40 students and 15 adults for this informative session led by Mr. Ryan Tunkel, a former admissions officer at Johns Hopkins, Georgetown University, and George Washington University. Students and parents gained valuable insight into how colleges evaluate applications, how to build a strong and cohesive student profile, and what juniors and seniors should prioritize during the admissions process.

We are honored to kick off the school year with our annual tradition of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. Join Veritas Collegiate Academy students on Friday, September 11, at 12:15 p.m. as we honor all who have paid the ultimate price for the freedom we enjoy—especially those lost since 9/11—and stand with our military families. The community is invited to this important ceremony.
