🍂🥾Adventure Play Dates started with a simple idea... Let’s explore the amazing outdoor spaces around Hampton Roads together. 🌿

There is no big agenda, planned activities, or any pressure to keep up. Just families coming together to wander a trail, notice what we find, and enjoy some time outside with our children and other like minded families. Sometimes we explore what might be a new favorite place. Sometimes we discover cool finds along the way. Sometimes the best part is socializing with other parents and letting kids be kids.

This fall, we’re heading to Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve in Portsmouth for our next adventure! 🍁

Whether you’ve joined us before or this will be your first time exploring with Wonderforest, we’d love to have you along.

🥾 Saturday, October 10th
🥾 10:00 AM
🥾 Free event (registration required for reminders and updates)

Grab your water bottle, wear comfortable shoes, and come wander with us as we grow community season by season. 🌲

🍂✨ Fall Equinox is here! ✨🍂

Summer is great but I can not lie. We’ve been waiting for fall to arrive.

🍁Cooler mornings.
🍁Crunchy leaves under our feet.
🍁Acorns, pinecones, and treasures waiting to be discovered.
🍁Cozy layers and muddy adventures.
🍁Pumpkins, gourds, apples, and cinnamon.

There is something so magical about watching the forest transform right before our eyes. Welcome, Autumn. We’re so happy you’re here. 🍁🌲

What if you didn’t have to rush through a Saturday evening? 🌾🌕

🌾No errands. No screens. No trying to squeeze one more thing into the day. No scrambling to find something meaningful to do together as a family.bJust your family, nature, and a little time to connect.

🌕That’s what I love about Moonrise Forest Circle... spending meaningful time together as a family while connecting with other like minded families too. We gather as the light begins to change, settle into our surroundings in the forest, listen to a story, discover what the month's moon has to teach us, explore how we connect with nature, experience the season with our hands, and eventually wander beneath the moon together. It’s simple, a little magical, and it’s an hour that belongs to you and your family.

This month, we’ll gather beneath the Harvest Moon.

Wild Pages is underway! 🌿📖

We’re wrapping up our first month of Reconnecting With Wonder and having some conversations about nature, technology, childhood, and what it means to slow down and notice the world around us.

This Saturday we’re meeting at 9:30am for our first Wild Meet Up... time outside, good conversation, and a little space to wonder together. 🌲💚

And you can still join us! You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t even have to have finished the book. Just come curious. ✨

When you're newest explorer gets nervous that you're not "allowed" to jump in the puddle, instructing everyone to stay back. Little did he know we have full autonomy in forest school. One of the secret to this thing is... If your body tells you to run, YOU RUN!!! 🏃🏼‍♂️

🌕 The Harvest Moon is almost here. 🌾🌕

There’s something a little different about being outside together when the sun begins to set and the moon starts to take its place in the sky. That moment is the magic of Moonrise Forest Circle.

Each month, we gather as families for an evening of nature, stories, seasonal wonder, and time together outdoors under the full moon. This month, we’ll be discovering the Harvest Moon. 🌾 We’ll gather, explore, create, sing, and wander together as the evening settles in around us.

🗓Saturday, September 26
⏰️6:00–7:00 PM
📍Indian River Nature Trails, Chesapeake 23320
🌕 $18.50 per explorer

If you’ve been curious about Moonrise, this is your invitation. ✨ Come discover the Harvest Moon with us.

Registration is open now through September 23.

We finished our first week back. Our explorers have the chance to come back to the people and the place where they find comfort and belonging, and even greet new friends into their circle. When children feel safe, their brains are calm to learn even more. So welcoming everyone back will always be about their relationships, their safety, and their voice!

43 explorers. 4 days a week. Growing more capable, well rounded humans.

Here's to our year 4!!
