DCE’s first Primary Career Day was a huge success! Our K–2 students had an incredible opportunity to explore a variety of careers, ask questions, and learn about the many paths their futures can take. From hands-on experiences to inspiring conversations, the day was filled with excitement, curiosity, and discovery. Thank you to all of our presenters and volunteers who helped make this special event possible. We can’t wait to see where our students’ dreams take them! ⭐

Our talented fifth graders took the stage for their strings concert and did an amazing job! Their hard work, practice, and dedication truly showed in every performance. We are so proud of all of our student musicians for sharing their talents and representing our school so well. Great job, fifth grade! 🎻🎶

This week, we celebrate and thank our incredible custodial team for everything they do to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming each and every day. From early mornings to late afternoons, their hard work never goes unnoticed.

Mrs. McClellan’s class brought science to life with their very own classroom science fair! 🧪✨ Students explored creative questions, tested their ideas, and proudly shared their discoveries. We love seeing curiosity, critical thinking, and excitement for learning in action!

Our student vs. staff basketball game was a blast! The energy in the gym was unmatched, especially with our staff cheerleaders bringing the hype! In a nail-biter finish, staff pulled off the win by just ONE point! What a game! 💜🏀

Our fifth grade students took their learning beyond the classroom with a trip to the Science Museum of Virginia. From interactive exhibits to exciting discoveries, it was a day to remember!

Our kindergarten students had an exciting day exploring the Virginia Zoo! 🐾 This field trip was a perfect way to extend their animal research beyond the classroom, giving them the chance to observe, ask questions, and learn more about animals up close. It was a fun and meaningful hands-on learning experience!
