Thanks to everyone who helped contribute to our 2026 fundraising campaign - through your generosity, SEVA was able to donate $5500 to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore in support of Hunger Action Month and holtzsheroes!

September is Hunger Action Month, and in support of Notre Dame's Meals with Muffet nationwide food drive initiative and Holtz's Heroes, the SEVA Club is raising and collecting monetary donations for our local partner The Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore. Every $1 donated can help provide 6 meals for neighbors facing hunger.

Our goal this year is to raise $5,000 to support the Foodbank and we cannot do that without your help. To kick off our fundraising efforts, the Club was selected as a Lennon Life Prize winner from the ND Alumni Association and received a $2,000 grant to put us on the way to achieving our goal.

Please consider making a monetary donation by Sunday, September 20th so we can take advantage of an exciting 3x dollar match opportunity offered by Dollar Tree. To donate, visit our Zeffy page at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/seva-donation-link or reach out to [email protected].

Thank you for your support!

"As we mark the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, I invite the Notre Dame community to pray for those who lost their lives in the tragic events of that day and in the days, weeks, and years that followed, including members of our own Notre Dame family.

We continue to be inspired by the first responders and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. For some in our community, the memories of that fateful day are vivid; for those who were not yet born, their understanding of the events of that day are shaped by the stories we tell, individually and collectively.

On this anniversary, let us come together as a global Catholic research university and rededicate ourselves to deepening our understanding of violence and its causes, and to building a world that is more humane, just, secure, and peaceful."

- University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C.
