Congratulations to all of our student-athletes who received academic and athletic awards for the 2025-2026 school year!

Rachel Prince: Female Athlete of the Year and Female Academic Athlete of the Year, whose outstanding career in Cross Country and Track & Field included multiple All-State honors, three VISAA State Championships during her senior year, a 4.281 GPA, and the VISAA Award of Merit, all while exemplifying integrity, leadership, and Christ-like character.

Tyson Moravec: Male Athlete of the Year, whose outstanding leadership and athletic performance in Football and Baseball earned him 1st Team All-State honors as a quarterback, along with 1st Team All-Metro and 1st Team VISAA Division II All-State recognition as a standout shortstop and leadoff hitter.

Connor Isenberg: Male Academic Athlete of the Year, who excelled as a multi-sport athlete in Football and Baseball while maintaining an impressive 3.906 GPA.

Payton Finck: Danny Moore Legacy Award, for embodying the grit, resilience, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to others that defined Coach Moore’s legacy and left a lasting impact on her teammates and school community.

Lily Gregory and Kerrigan Toby: The Rosa Award, for their outstanding commitment to three-sport participation, academic excellence, leadership, and Christ-like character both on and off the field of play.

Gator Nation would like to congratulate senior Brady Countiss on his commitment to play football at the United States Coast Guard Academy!

We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and character Brady has shown both on and off the gridiron. His commitment to excellence has earned him this outstanding opportunity, and we are excited to see all that he will accomplish as he continues his academic and athletic journey while serving this great nation.

Today, we celebrate the life of Bonny Bailey, or “MawB,” as she was so fondly called by many.

Mrs. Bailey was a cornerstone of the GCA Athletic Department, faithfully serving in countless roles throughout the years. Her concession stand was always the place to be on Friday nights and throughout the spring seasons. She lovingly and willingly supported Mr. Bailey through the late nights and early mornings, helping make sure our Gator athletes always had the very best. She was truly our #1 fan.

The GCA Athletic Department is grateful for the standard that Bubba and MawB set. We know that today, they are hand in hand, sitting on the Gator, watching over us all.

We will strive to keep your memory, commitment, and dedication alive here at GCA.
