The WBMS PTSA would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers, students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and community members who came out to support our annual Teacher vs. Students Basketball Game.
Tonight’s game was truly phenomenal! The energy in the gym and the incredible support from our school community made this event unforgettable.
Special recognition goes to all the students, staff, and teachers who signed up to play and participate in tonight’s game. Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and willingness to be part of the fun helped make tonight’s game truly spectacular.
Events like this would not be possible without your participation, and we appreciate each of you for stepping onto the court and making the evening so entertaining for everyone.
While we appreciate everyone who came out to support this amazing tradition, we would like to give a few special shout-outs to the individuals and organizations who helped make tonight possible.
First, we would not be able to host such a successful event without the unwavering support of our incredible administrative team — Dr. Beth Pallister, Mr. Cole, Dr. Galloway, and Ms. Gray. Although they spend countless hours each day supporting the needs of our teachers, staff, and students, they always find the time and energy to support the PTSA as well. Your dedication does not go unnoticed. Hands down—you all are the best!
Secondly, we want to recognize Mr. Hines and Mrs. Bon. When we say they are truly the best liaisons, alethic director, social media gurus , photographers, multi-taskers or shall we say magicians any PTSA could hope for, we absolutely mean it. From the planning stages to the behind-the-scenes work and the final ex*****on, they are always there to see things through. Their commitment and hard work help bring events like this to life.
A special thank you also goes to Ms. Patty, who is truly one of the most supportive teachers and helpers a PTSA could ever ask for. Your willingness to jump in and assist wherever needed makes such a difference.
We would like to recognize our amazing cheer coaches, Coach Robinson and Coach Gilmore, for preparing and leading our cheerleaders so beautifully tonight. Their enthusiasm and spirit helped energize the entire gym.
Another big thank you goes to Mrs. Pelzel for doing an incredible job organizing our band and coordinating with the high school band teacher to invite some of our middle school alumni back to play alongside our students.
Their participation helped make tonight’s game even more memorable.
We are also grateful for our dynamic coaches, Mr. and Mrs. Ortel, who always show up ready to lead and inspire our teams. Their dedication and enthusiasm truly make the event special.
Shoutout to all the referees to include Ms. Jayla and all the students posts and presents who played a special role in tonight’s event .
Of course, we cannot forget our amazing DJ and announcer, Mr. Caine, who kept the energy high, the crowd engaged, and the game running smoothly all evening.
A big shout-out also goes to our teacher and staff cheering squad for bringing so much school spirit and excitement to the game.
We would also like to thank Officer Parker for helping keep everyone safe and ensuring that our event ran smoothly and Our state of the art custodian squad for keeping our school clean.
Special recognition goes to Yard Card Queen-Chesapeake for creating the incredible yard sign and Mr. And Mrs. Rogers for making the wood Bruin Bash sign that helped promote tonight’s event and build excitement throughout the community.
We are incredibly grateful to our generous community partners who helped make tonight possible:
Little Caesars for providing pizzas,
Chick-fil-A at Chesapeake Square for the delicious sandwiches, and
Our neighborhood chef Kazheen Zubair for the amazing chili.
Target, Texas Roadhouse, and Chick-fil-A for donating tonight’s raffle prizes.
Your generosity and community spirit mean so much to our school.
Finally, thank you to all of our families, parents, and community members who volunteered their time tonight—whether you helped set up, break down, run stations, or simply came out to support the game. Your involvement and support are what make events like this so successful.
Because of all of you, tonight was a huge success. The WBMS PTSA truly appreciates each and every one of you, and we look forward to many more wonderful events together!
Kudos to the Teachers and Staff who took home the win 🏆again!!
