All-American. More Than a Game.
Congratulations to Falcon Green on being named an NCSAA Basketball All-American, recognizing him among the nation's outstanding Christian high school basketball players.
Anyone who knows Falcon knows his quick wit, competitive spirit, and servant's heart. Whether carrying something heavy for a teacher, holding open a door, or lending a hand without being asked, he consistently served others in quiet, meaningful ways.
A 1,000+ point scorer, Honor Society member, Character Award recipient, and a young man who faithfully studies God's Word each day, Falcon pursued excellence both on the court and in the classroom. He challenged himself with advanced mathematics, Omnibus, and advanced Spanish, where he loved practicing the language. In his Omnibus classes, he also demonstrated a genuine gift for creative writing.
Falcon is remarkably resilient. He has overcome challenges with determination, and it showed every time he stepped onto the court. Watching him compete was a thing of beauty because he played with relentless effort, grit, and heart until the final buzzer.
At Veritas, we believe every student is more than an athlete or a scholar. They are young men and women created in God's image, and it is our privilege to encourage them as they discover and develop the gifts He has given them. We're grateful for the many people who walked alongside Falcon throughout that journey.
We're especially grateful for Coach Puncho, whose countless hours of driving, coaching, encouraging, and supporting Falcon throughout his basketball journey made a lasting impact.
We also thank Falcon's family, teammates, teachers, and administrators for believing in him, investing in his growth, and encouraging him every step of the way.
"Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established."
Proverbs 16:3
Congratulations, Falcon! Your Veritas family is proud of you and celebrates this incredible accomplishment.

All-American. Formed Through Discipline.
Congratulations to Mehmet "Bulut" Ertufan on being named a NISCA High School All-American, recognizing him among the Top 100 high school swimmers in the United States.
Bulut earned this honor by swimming a record-setting time during one of only two qualifying opportunities all season. Even more remarkable, he achieved it just days after returning from an intense USA Swimming training camp, where he trained six to eight hours each day while recovering from a back injury.
His perseverance, discipline, and determination are evident not only in the pool, but also in the classroom, where he pursues excellence with the same dedication.
No student succeeds alone. Throughout his time at Veritas, Mr. Keating faithfully invested in Bulut, mentoring him, personally driving him to afternoon practices, and coaching him at Easterns. We are also deeply grateful for Bulut's parents for their sacrifices, his host family for their love and support, his teammate Berken, the outstanding coaches at ODAC Swim and Veritas, and our dedicated faculty. Together, they created an environment where Bulut could flourish.
One of the most meaningful moments came after his record-setting swim, when Bulut told Mr. Keating, "I could not have accomplished this without Veritas."
At Veritas Chesapeake, we believe education is about the formation of the whole person: mind, body, and soul. Every child has unique gifts and a God-given purpose, and our faculty is committed to helping each student develop those gifts through intentional mentorship, discipleship, and academic excellence. We desire to see every student faithfully use their God-given gifts for God's glory.
Bulut's achievement reminds us that education is about more than awards or records. It is about the people who invest in us, encourage us, and help us become who God created us to be.
Congratulations, Bulut! Your Veritas family celebrates this incredible achievement, and we cannot wait to see what God has in store for you next.
"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."

11 AP Scholar Awards. One Remarkable Year.
This year, 11 Veritas Chesapeake students earned College Board AP Scholar Awards, including 7 AP Scholars with Distinction, 2 AP Scholars with Honors, and 2 AP Scholars.
Even more impressive, 64% of our AP Scholar Award recipients earned AP Scholar with Distinction.
These honors recognize exceptional achievement on rigorous, college-level AP Exams.
They also reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our faculty and administration, and the partnership of our families.
We are grateful for a school community that encourages students to pursue excellence with wisdom, diligence, and integrity.
Congratulations to our 2026 AP Scholars. We are proud of your hard work, perseverance, and this well-deserved achievement.

Who are your children becoming?
Most schools ask, "What does this child know?"
Classical Christian education asks a different question.
"Who is this child becoming?"
Before your child is a student, an athlete, an artist, or a future employee, they are an image bearer of God.
That truth changes everything. It changes how we teach, discipline, encourage, and see every child in our care.
At Veritas Collegiate Academy, we form young men and women who love what is true, good, and beautiful, growing in wisdom and faith to serve God and others as virtuous citizens.
Our students are known by name, prayed for, and challenged through a classical curriculum rooted in the Trivium: grammar, logic, and rhetoric, engaging the great works that have shaped Western thought.
Academic excellence matters here, not for its own sake, but as an act of worship, because loving God includes loving Him with our whole mind.
Because children become who they see.
It matters how the adults you partner with see them and reflect their own faith.
Notice this student with his hands raised in worship alongside his teacher. This is what formation looks like in practice.
Faith is not only taught in the classroom. It is lived out by the people who walk with students each day.
As you visit schools, look beyond the building and the schedule. Watch how teachers interact with students. Notice what is celebrated. Notice what is valued.
If you're looking for a school that partners with you to know, love, and shepherd your child toward wisdom and faithful service, we would love to meet you.
Together, we will equip them with the timeless tools to think clearly, love deeply, and live faithfully.
