🎶 Happy Father’s Day to all of the incredible dads, grandfathers, and father figures in our Chesapeake School of Music family! 🎶

Thank you for the countless rides to lessons and rehearsals, the hours spent cheering from the audience, the encouragement during practice sessions, and the love and support you give your young musicians every day.

The gift of music is made even more meaningful when it is shared with those who champion our students’ dreams. Today we celebrate all of the amazing fathers who help make the music happen. ❤️

🎓✨ Congratulations to our graduating senior, Avery Peshehonoff! ✨🎓

Avery’s musical journey with Tim Dail began in 2017 when they first worked together in Newport News. From those early lessons to five years of virtual study from 2021–2026, Tim has had the privilege of watching Avery grow into a dedicated musician.

Throughout her high school career at Poquoson High School, Avery has achieved so much. She earned 2nd Prize at the State Level Bland Piano Competition sponsored by the Lions Club, receiving a $2,500 scholarship. She served as Drum Major for the Poquoson High School marching band and performed as a flautist in Macy’s Great American Marching Band.

We are thrilled to celebrate Avery’s graduation and excited to watch her continue her musical journey at Shenandoah University, where she will study Musical Theatre Accompanying.

Avery, your talent, discipline, and passion for music have already led you to incredible experiences, and we know this is only the beginning. Congratulations on all you have achieved. We cannot wait to see where your journey takes you! 🎵🎓

For years, Mikaella has brought dedication, perseverance, and a love of piano to her lessons with Tim Dail. It has been a joy to watch her musical journey unfold, and Tim is incredibly proud of the musician she has become and all she has accomplished.

We are thrilled to celebrate Mikaella’s graduation from Great Bridge High School and wish her all the best as she begins this exciting new chapter at James Madison University.

A dedicated student of Simeon, Kyle has grown into an accomplished and expressive musician whose hard work, passion, and talent have shined through every performance. Simeon is incredibly proud of all that Kyle has achieved and the musician he has become.

We celebrate Kyle’s graduation from Nansemond River High School and are excited to see him begin the next chapter of his journey at **James Madison University, where he will study Music Composition and Chemistry.

We are still smiling as we look back on our 2026 Summer Recitals. A huge congratulations to every student who took the stage this weekend. Performing takes courage, dedication, and countless hours of practice, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of you. Your hard work, growth, and love of music were beautifully displayed in every performance. 🎶

Thank you to our amazing teachers for your passion, encouragement, and commitment to your students. The impact you make reaches far beyond the music you teach each week.

To our wonderful music families—thank you for your support, for the rides to lessons, the reminders to practice, and for cheering on your musicians every step of the way. We truly could not do this without you.

A special thank you to Great Bridge United Methodist Church for graciously opening your doors and allowing us to share our music in such a beautiful and welcoming space.
