Servants, the gifted, leaders, movers & shakers of all walks tend to push at the expense of their health, wellness, personal resources, relational balance, spiritual vitality and more. Why, because being effective makes us think that things won't get done without us.

📌So, you don't go to the doctor you go to the convention.

📌You don't stay home and rest, you go and almost get in an accident on the way home.

📌Instead of a sabbatical we ignore the signs of burnout.

📌Instead of consecration, revival and renewal, we accept more dates because of demand.

Well, hear me on this, "They'll be fine whether you destroy yourself or take a moment and be made whole or not." It's time for revival.

The gifted are often elite, essential people who make things happen. Most of the success of systems, groups or mass efforts are because of someone with expertise who lends themselves to the cause.

When you're this degree of essential, maintenance is often seen as an inconvenience. The gifted grow addicted to the demand, and those who receive continue to demand. Most times the true state of the gifted isn't a consideration until something breaks down.

No one can afford for the gifted not to give...

Three things are very important:

1. Realize that being great at something isn't always a reflection of your true state.

2. It's ok to pull over. The demand can wait until you're better.

3. Never let applause deter you from necessary maintenance.
