Message from Mr. Zimmerman:

Good Evening Students and Parents of Bohemia Manor Middle and High School!

By now, the majority of students should have completed their first set of lessons that they received during the past two weeks. However, this week will be considered a “catch up week” to allow those students that might have gotten a late start, or those that possibly struggled with accessing their lessons online, the opportunity to complete their first set of assigned lessons. It is important that all students are taking the time to complete each of their assigned lessons and sharing their exit tickets with teachers for feedback. All of our Bohemia Manor students (grades 6 through 12) need to keep up with completing their work and also make sure they are checking in with their teachers on a weekly basis. So many of our students did an outstanding job this year and we need to continue to make sure that we keep the positive momentum going, despite not actually being in school.

Also, starting on April 20th, students will be able to access the next set of lessons to complete. Our Instructional Coordinators have been tirelessly working with a group of expert teachers during the past few weeks to not only make this set of lessons easier for students to access and complete, but they have also have reduced the expectation of completing 3 days of lessons during a week to 2 days of lessons. This will allow students the opportunity to work with their teachers during the week to make sure that work has been completed and provided with the necessary feedback.

I hope that all of our families continue to remain safe during these uncertain times and look forward to hopefully seeing all of the students back at school in the near future.
