The 2026 Military Classic is almost here! 🇺🇸

Join us September 2 & 3 as we support our Chesaning student-athletes and honor the men and women who have served our country.

Wednesday, September 2
• Varsity Soccer
• Varsity Volleyball

Thursday, September 3
• Varsity Football

Military Classic shirts are available for $20 in the Chesaning High School main office.

We also want to extend a special invitation to veterans and active-duty military members from Chesaning and our surrounding communities. During the football game on September 3, veterans and active-duty service members are invited to join us in the VIP Tent with one guest for dinner and the opportunity to watch the game from the field.

You do not need to live in Chesaning to participate. We would love to welcome veterans and active-duty military members from throughout the area.

Come out, fill the stands, support our athletes, and help us make this year’s Military Classic a meaningful celebration of those who serve!

The Chesaning Military Classic Committee would like to invite all veterans and active duty military members (and a guest) to join us in the VIP Tent on Wednesday, September 3 for dinner and to watch the varsity football game from the field. The fun begins around 6:15.

This invitation is open to all veterans and active duty military members — you do not have to live in Chesaning to attend.

We would be honored to have you join us as we come together to recognize and thank those who have served and continue to serve.

Please take a second to welcome back Coach Josh Chrysler to our strength and conditioning program. We are excited to have you back Coach Chrysler!

I’m extremely excited to be back at Chesaning and continue working with our student-athletes!

I began coaching at Chesaning in 2022 as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and started our Powerlifting program in 2024. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to continue growing as a coach, including a year-long internship with the Saginaw Spirit before making the jump to college athletics at Northwood University.

At Northwood, I served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach working directly with Men’s Soccer, Women’s Lacrosse, Cheer, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, while also assisting with Football. That experience gave me the opportunity to program and coach athletes across multiple sports at the NCAA Division II level. One of the highlights was being a part of our Men’s Tennis team winning the G-MAC Tournament Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division II Playoffs.

I’m thankful for everything I learned at Northwood and excited to bring that experience back to Chesaning. I can’t wait to get to work with our coaches and athletes and continue

Please welcome our new Co-Head Varsity Wrestling Coach

Hello Chesaning Wrestling Family!

My name is Jordan Rodriguez, and I’m excited and honored to introduce myself as the new Co-Head Varsity Wrestling Coach at Chesaning High School.

Chesaning Wrestling has played a major role in my life, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to return home and give back to the program that helped shape me as both a wrestler and a person. I graduated from Chesaning High School in 2020, where I finished my career with a 177–15 record, earning honors as a MHSAA State Champion, 2× State Finalist, 4× State Medalist, 4× Conference Champion, and 3× County Champion.

After high school, I continued my wrestling career at the collegiate level. I graduated from Lake Erie College in 2025, where I competed at 125 pounds and earned a 5th-place finish at the NCAA Super Regional. I later continued competing at Cleary University, where I became a 2026 NAIA National Qualifier.

While I’m proud of what I accomplished on the mat, I’m even more excited about the opportunity to help the next generation of Chesaning wrestlers accomplish their own goals. My goal is to help our athletes develop discipline, confidence, toughness, and a strong work ethic that will benefit them both on and off the mat.

I’m looking forward to working alongside our coaching staff, athletes, families, school, and community as we continue building on the tradition of Chesaning Wrestling.

I’m proud to be back home and excited to get to work.
