Hello, B.E.A.M. Intermediate families! This is Mrs. Falter Principal at B.E.A.M. Intermediate.

We are so excited to welcome our students and families back for a brand-new school year!

We want to remind you that our Orientation Drop-In will be Tuesday, August 11, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. We would love to see you and your child as you get familiar with the school and prepare for the first day.

Our first day of school is Wednesday, August 12!

Student drop-off will begin at 7:10 a.m. If your child plans to eat breakfast at school, please make sure they arrive early. Breakfast closes at 7:25 a.m., so arriving a little early will give them plenty of time to get breakfast and be ready for the school day.

We also have an important reminder for our morning arrival: please do not block or use the parking spaces reserved for our teachers. We appreciate your help in keeping traffic moving and making sure our staff can get to work safely and on time.

At dismissal, buses will begin loading at 2:15 p.m., followed by car riders. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work to make dismissal safe and efficient for all of our students.

We are incredibly excited about this new school year and can't wait to see our students back in the building! Thank you for your continued support of B.E.A.M. Intermediate.

PUBLIC NOTICE: The Gaston County Board of Education will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Myers Center at Gaston College, 201 Highway 321 South, Dallas. The purpose of the hearing is to receive comments from the public regarding the proposed closing of W.B. Beam Intermediate School and its consolidation with Cherryville Elementary School and John Chavis Middle School. More information is available on the Gaston County Schools website (www.gaston.k12.nc.us).

A big thank you to the WB Beam PTO for treating our teachers and staff to lunch today, and to First Presbyterian Church for the delicious snacks! Your support and kindness mean so much, and it truly makes a difference in our day. We appreciate you both! 💙

Our 4th grade students have been enjoying learning about gardening and healthy eating. Students have been able to sample some of the vegetables from our garden and learn about how to grow and take care of their own garden.

Happy Secretary’s Day to our wonderful front office star! 💙

Even though she’s only been with us a short time, she has already made such a positive impact at Beam Intermediate. Her kindness, organization, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed have not gone unnoticed.
