ESS Northeast Retreat Recap #5
*Last one for the last day of July!*
PA VP of Ops Jeff Hite led a discussion around what makes a successful district manager. Different scenarios were presented wherein each group contributed ideas about how they would approach the situation, leading to great collaborations!
PA VP of Ops Samantha Hummer had us work in teams, blindfolding one person and then instructing them how to assemble a small Lego kit. We were all reminded how patience, empathy, and an appreciation for limitations & other ways of thinking all play a role in the classroom.

ESS Northeast Retreat Recap #4
NJ VP of Operations Tom Basehore led a Happy Gilmore themed presentation about permanent paraprofessionals, aided by district managers Dana Romig and James Furler.
Throughout the speech, our managers attempted to putt in a friendly competition.
Paraprofessionals are the backbone of our school systems, providing hands on attention to special education students throughout the country. We couldn't do what we do without them!

ESS Northeast Retreat Recap #3
Two heads are better than one, and forty is exponentially better still! We gathered managers from across five states and put them together in a room. In addition to presentations on intervention training (thanks Kevin!), we ran through lots of different scenarios that we encounter throughout the year to share ideas on how to best handle it, sharing ideas and preparing for the coming school year!
