A child’s innate desire and curiosity to learn doesn’t end when they graduate from our Kindergarten program. It is just beginning. So over the years, we’ve struggled with answering parent’s questions of “where do we go from here?”. While traditional education is a great fit for some, other children begin to lose their passion and love of learning when they are confined to a structured curriculum. So to confidently answer our parent’s questions, children can continue their Montessori Education with Cherry Hill Montessori in our Elementary Class opening September 2026. A Montessori Elementary experience allows children the freedom of movement and exploration, connecting them with nature and building community both within and outside the classroom. Montessori sets the foundation for a child to grow into a confident, responsible member of society. We can’t wait to welcome you to the CHM Family, and to watch your child Grow Confidently with us! 🌱

Last week we traveled the world at our Art Show as we showcased our student’s art inspired by the 7 continents. We also had a great time tie dying t-shirts, dancing to the music from Mr. Bobby Beetcut and Mr. , and enjoying food from and Mister Softee! Thank you to all our families and the local businesses that made this event such a success! 🌱

Thanksgiving at CHM is about celebrating and supporting our communities. We joined together as a school for our Thanksgiving Feast, and are grateful for our friends who made the corn bread muffins for us to enjoy! We are also so grateful for the generous food donations from our families during our Thanksgiving Food Drive so we could support local families in the area. 🦃🥧🍁

This month our Food Prep curriculum has focused on “mashing”. Each week, children are presented with a new food item to mash and spread, and enjoy as a snack if they would like!
Food prep is an important part of the Montessori curriculum to promote the development of practical life skills, independence and concentration. It also encourages the exploration of new food items. As with all activities in the classroom, children develop a sense of responsibility for their work space, and are encouraged to complete the full process from set up to clean up.
