Dadiwonisi is hosting a special evening dedicated to celebrating and speaking our Indigenous languages. Come spend time in community, hear and use the ᏣᎳᎩ language, and help uplift the voices of our culture.

For the safety of our instructors and participants, we’ve decided to cancel tonight’s (1/26) class due to road conditions and dropping temperatures. We will plan to reconvene Wednesday (1/28). Stay warm and stay safe!

Beginning January 12, second language learner group Aniyona2025 leads twice-weekly free language workshops at Museum of the Cherokee People.

Aniyona is comprised of graduates of the CLMAP Cherokee Language Master Apprentice Program here on the Qualla Boundary.

Mondays and Wednesdays at 5pm, meet in the Multipurpose Room in the Education Wing to learn and practice Cherokee. Registration is not required, but participants are encouraged to show up early to secure their seat.
