📢 Important Announcement from P*e Dee Hall Charter School 📢

We want to inform our community that during the South Carolina Public Charter School District (PCSD) Board of Trustees meeting on March 13, 2025, the Board voted by majority to accept the voluntary termination of the P*e Dee Hall (PDH) Charter and contract.

This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the impact this has on our potential stakeholders and community members. We are grateful for the support and dedication that has been shown to the opening of the school over the past 2 years.

Unfortunately, the school will not open due to the inability to locate and secure adequate funding for a location in our area without millions of dollars in investment. The PDH board worked tirelessly to identify a property and engaged in numerous discussions to make this vision a reality. Despite these efforts, we ultimately fell short of securing the necessary funding to move forward.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who sacrificed for our freedom. Our mission is to prioritize by providing academic opportunities for every student and family in South Carolina. John F. Kennedy said, "Children are the world's most valuable resource and its best hope for the future."

This weekend, we honor our fallen heroes by rededicating ourselves to our mission. Have a safe and reflective Memorial Day.

Congratulations to Rianna Smith, our State Programs Coordinator, on graduating from the South Carolina Department of Education’s Institute for District Administrator (IDA) Cohort 25! This seven-month program equips leaders like Rianna to address education's challenges and shifts.

On February 15th PDH was approved by the South Carolina Public Charter School District to delay the opening of P*e Dee Hall 1 year with the goal to open in the 2025-2026 school year.

The P*e Dee Hall board voted to request this delay due to lack of funding to open for the 2024-2025 school year. We look forward to doing all we can to offer an additional educational opportunity to students beginning in the Fall of 2025.
