Join us in our efforts to raise money for Chepachet Fire and EMS! The mission of local fire and EMS services is essential to every community, and this one is volunteer. Our donations help them to provide the very best community services to keep us all safe!

As an added community event, they will be bringing a fire truck, rescue vehicle, AND their rescue dog to meet and greet the kids! The public is welcome!

Participants are taking pledges for how many kicks they do, and we're all eager to help!

YOU can pledge towards our student's, instructor's, or Cub Scout participant's kicks, or bring a donation the day of our event, Saturday October 24th, at 11am!

A couple of our members competed in the Cheezic Federation's Connecticut Yankee Nationals, a 62 year tradition that is growing and evolving into something even bigger, attracting more and more diverse competitors with an amazing field of attendees!
We love the changes, new divisions, and seeing so many old friends!
3rd Dan, Mr. Walters, took 1st in weapons, and 2nd in forms and sparring in a very exciting, seasoned group.
Our young black belt apprentice Mr. Berntson came away with a 1st place in sparring, 3rd in weapons and breaking, and 4th in forms against some very talented competition.
We would like to thank Master Lyne Landry and all who work so hard to organize this tournament!

How do you raise confident kids?

Start here! Martial arts should not simply teach children how to kick and punch.

Respect, discipline, responsibility, and self-control determine what those skills become. Character is having these skills and the wisdom of knowing when and why to use them.

Well, let's get moving!
Sword Yoga is fast becoming a very popular and effective activity to help you tick all those boxes!

A six week sword yoga session taught by a 4th degree Master belt with 27 years of martial art experience can guide you through these basic flows even with no experience, beginners are welcome!

Begins Saturday, October 3th, 9am, at Village Martial Arts, 840 Putnam Pike in Chepachet. You can bring your own sword or we will provide you with one of our training swords!
