Mariachi Las Águilas is a program at Eastern Washington University. We are committed to performing Mariachi music for on and off campus events and bringing the Mariachi Culture to everyone. We meet on Tuesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm, EWU Cheney Campus, Music Building Recital Hall.

Thanks to all our friends and supporters who cheered us on at the spectacular EWU Cinco De Mayo Festival Concert last week. Joined by the EWU Orchestra, the Mariachi Las Águilas concert featured award-winning tenor, José Iñiguez of Encanto Arts, seen performing a duet here with mezzo-soprano, Alejandra Guzmán-Mercado. Special thanks to the many Iñiquez family members who attended and are long-time supporters of EWU student scholarships.

Please join us for our community Cinco de Mayo Festival Concert on May 3rd from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Showalter Hall, EWU Cheney Campus. featuring EWU's Mariachi las Águilas, Orchestra, Jazz Band, and distinguished solo vocalists, José Iñiguez, Jaqueline Itzel Medina Green, and Vivianna Macias-Katzenstein. Entrance and on-campus parking is free.

K-12 students may register in advance for free mariachi workshops in the morning from 10 a.m. with lunch included, followed by the afternoon concert. Email [email protected] to register with your name, school, grade level and instrument. Bring your own instrument.

It has been an honor to perform for ten years at the annual Nuestras Raíces Centro Comunitario Viva Vino Gala, in raising scholarship funds to support students. Thank you to Mariachi Las Aguilas for sharing their love of music with the community.
