Track and Field Day – Friday, May 16

We’re looking forward to a fun day! Please review the reminders and schedule below to help everything run smoothly:
🗓️ Schedule:
8:30–11:15 AM – Track and Field Events for Kindergarten–2nd Grade
12:10–3:00 PM – Track and Field Events for 3rd–5th Grade

✅ Reminders:
Bring a water bottle
Wear sunscreen
No tank tops – we want to avoid sunburned shoulders!
Bring a towel to sit on in the bleachers
Hats and sunglasses are fine to wear when not competing – leave them in the bleachers at your class camp during events
Wear t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes

🍔 Lunch Option:
Backyard BBQ will be on site for those who would like to purchase lunch.

Track and Field Day 2025

When: Friday, May 16, 2025

Start times: K-2 8:30- 11 am and 3-5 12:15-3 pm

Where: CHS Football Stadium

Your child has already signed up for this FUN day, please help them listen for the announcements about when and where their event is being held. You will be getting a sheet about T&F Day with their events on it during the week of Track and Field Day. On Track and Field Day, your child will have a list of their events to wear (on a sticky label), helping them get to their events.

Please help remind your child to wear shorts, t-shirts and tennis shoes, no boots, flip flops or anything that will hurt them when competing. Bring a water bottle, sunscreen and 3-5 graders may wear a hat BUT LEAVE IN THE BLEACHERS AT YOUR CAMP WHEN COMPETING!

Students will sit in the bleachers at their “camp” with their teachers when not competing.

Before school is out for the summer, they will receive a certificate of the events they were in and their place for those events.

Grandparents Day is tomorrow, Friday, May 2nd. Please remind grandparents to arrive no more than five minutes before their scheduled lunch time.

Lunch Schedule:
Third Grade: 11:20 – 11:55
Fourth Grade: 12:00 – 12:35
Fifth Grade: 12:40 – 1:15

With all the art projects put away and the old gym cleaned up, morning drop-off will return to the old gym on Wednesday, April 30.
