🐑 A HUGE SHOUTOUT to our Livestock Evaluation Team! 🐑

Today, Devon, Murtagh, Naomi, and Deedee traveled to the New York State Fair to compete in the Livestock Evaluation CDE! They put their knowledge and skills to the test judging beef, swine, goats, and sheep.

They did an awesome job and truly put their best foot forward! All of those hours of practicing and preparing definitely paid off. We are so proud of the effort and dedication they showed today! 💙💛

📸 Sadly, Mrs. Jenner was only able to get one photo of the team today — but rest assured, they were busy putting their hard work to use!

Shoutout to Karson, Devon, and Colten, who hit the road to Syracuse today to compete in the Small Engines CDE at the New York State Fair!

This was our first time ever competing in this contest, so we definitely came home with some new knowledge (and probably a few things to practice 😅). The boys tackled parts ID, tool ID, troubleshooting, using service manuals, taking measurements, and more!

We may have been the new kids on the Small Engines block, but they jumped right in, gave it their best, and learned a ton along the way.

🌾🐐 Tioga County Fair Update! 🐄🌾

Tuesday was Free Agriculture Day at the Tioga County Fair! We were fortunate enough to meet the goats from Mini Minion Farm, raised by our very own Dzintra and Murtagh McCarthy. Unfortunately, Dzintra and Murtagh were away at summer camp, but we still got to watch their mom, Erika, exhibit! Their Nigerian Dwarf goats did a fantastic job in the show. 🐐❤️

Tuesday afternoon, we volunteered at the Tioga County Farm Bureau Annual Pork Chop BBQ. A huge shoutout to Karson and Parker Brunk for helping serve up those delicious pork chop dinners! 🍽️👏 A very big THANK YOU to Farm Bureau and all of the sponsors who helped make this event possible. Your support helps make experiences like these possible for our youth and agricultural community!

Wednesday was Open Dairy Show Day! 🐄 We were excited to see Heather Mattison exhibit her dairy calf, Scarlet. We also want to recognize Karson and Parker, who helped hand out ribbons to all of our exhibitors! 🏆

It has been a wonderful week filled with agriculture, livestock, hard work, and great people. We’re so proud to be part of it! 🌾🐄🐐

Our August newsletter has been sent to families! Be sure to check your email for important information about Tioga County Fair opportunities, State Fair CDE practices and contests, Pork Chop BBQ volunteer shifts, and other upcoming events.

There are still a few opportunities for students to get involved before the school year begins, so don't miss the important dates and deadlines!

Camp Oswegatchie – Until Next Time! 🌲💚

Our students are officially on the road home after an incredible week at Camp Oswegatchie!

Last night’s banquet was the perfect way to celebrate an unforgettable camp experience. We were especially proud to see Caster represent Waverly by serving as the Sentinel for the banquet—an outstanding honor!

We are so proud of the way our students represented Waverly all week long. They challenged themselves, made new friends, embraced new experiences, and truly discovered the magic of Camp O.

Camp Oswegatchie – Wednesday Highlights! 🌲💚

A little late, but here are our Wednesday photos from Camp Oswegatchie!

Last night was Skit Night, and it was filled with plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments. We also had the opportunity to hear reflections from Jack, making for a memorable evening.

Today marks the last full day of camp! Tonight, students will celebrate an incredible week at the banquet and awards ceremony before heading home after breakfast tomorrow.

We’re especially excited to share that Caster was selected to serve as Sentinel for tonight’s banquet—what a wonderful honor! Congratulations, Caster!

What an amazing week it has been. From new friendships and exciting adventures to leadership opportunities and lifelong memories, Camp Oswegatchie has once again shown why it’s such a special place.

Camp Oswegatchie – Day 4! 🌞🌲

We’re already on Day 4, and the week is flying by! Before another exciting day begins, enjoy these highlights from Day 3.

Yesterday was filled with laughter, new adventures, and even new friendships as our students continued to experience the magic of Camp O. We’re also proud of Hayden and Atticus for interviewing to serve as this year’s banquet officers—way to represent Waverly!

The excitement is building as everyone looks forward to Skit Night, one of Camp Oswegatchie’s favorite traditions. With another beautiful day ahead, we can’t wait to see what new memories are made.

Camp Oswegatchie – Day 2! 🌲💚

The adventures continued today as our students jumped right into everything camp has to offer! From conquering the high ropes course and testing their aim at archery to racing their hearts out in the Great Race, they’ve been making the most of every moment.

It’s been wonderful to see everyone stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging one another, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
