Help us welcome Mr Reyes who will be filling in for Mrs. Roberts!
Meet Mr. Reyes! He will be with us until Thanksgiving as Mrs. Roberts’s long term substitute while she is on maternity leave!
Anthony Reyes recently completed his Master of Arts in Teaching at Calvin University and is Michigan certified in K–12 Music Education. Prior to moving to Michigan, he spent eight years as an itinerant music teacher with the Toronto District School Board, where he taught elementary and middle school instrumental music and helped revitalize music programs across multiple schools.
During his student teaching, Mr. Reyes worked with the band programs at Saline High School and Clague Middle School, as well as the choir program at Burton Middle School in Grand Rapids. He has experience teaching concert band, jazz band, beginning band, choir, and general music, and enjoys helping students grow both musically and personally.
Outside of the classroom, Mr. Reyes is a trumpet performance graduate of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and performs as a freelance musician. He is excited to join the Chelsea music community and looks forward to working with students and families this fall.
