We had two different students who were named Best Teacher Ever today. Our student photographer made a mistake and didn't finish the pictures. Hailey gave hers to Mrs. Hensley and Harlie gave hers to Mrs. Waldron. We will get the pictures done soon.

A message from Mrs. Provence:
We’ve spent this week learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin & wrapped up today with a pumpkin investigation!
Each student got to help measure the height & circumference of the pumpkin before we carved it to see what happens as it decomposes.🎃🧡

A message from Mrs. Waldron: Today in Science, we put our STEM skills to the test! 🧠🔬
I challenged my 5th graders to build the tallest tower they could using only mini marshmallows and toothpicks. They had to think, create, test, problem-solve, and make adjustments along the way.
One of our towers reached an amazing 30 cm—the exact height of our ruler! 🤯
But my favorite part wasn’t just seeing how tall they could build. It was listening to their reasoning and problem-solving as they explained why they designed their towers the way they did. They were thinking like engineers and learning from what worked—and what didn’t!
I am so proud of the creativity, teamwork, perseverance, and critical thinking I saw today. What a fun way to learn by thinking AND doing! 🏗️🧪

A message from Mrs. Cottrell:

🌋 Volcano Science in 3rd Grade! 🌋
Our classroom is getting ready to ERUPT with learning! 🌋✨ Students created, colored, and cut out their own paper volcano models while learning about and labeling the different parts of a volcano—including the magma chamber hidden deep below the surface!
We’re learning how magma moves through a volcano, what happens during an eruption, and how the different parts work together. 🔥🪨
And we’re not finished yet… 👀 Stay tuned for our volcano unit finale this Thursday! We’ll be building a model volcano in class and watching it ERUPT! 🌋💥
Nothing beats a little hands-on science! 🧪❤️
