Meet our staff through staff trading cards! Pictures have been uploaded in random order; they are not organized by staff grade level or group. Special thanks to Tracy's Photography for capturing our first day. To create the trading cards, we removed the background from our staff photos.

Here is the video our Student Leadership team put together this summer on expectations for the bus and car rider line.
Remember, the car rider line will start moving more quickly as we get into the school year. First graders are brand new to our process, and we added about 30 new students to our car line. Also, the Boys and Girls Club is closed at the moment, so that increases the number of students in our line. Thank you for your patience as we get your children to you.

A message from Mrs. Waldron: Today in 5th grade science, we did a fun STEM challenge!

Students worked in teams to move a marker using only the strings that were attached to the marker.

Each team was given a picture they had to recreate, but they had to figure out the best way to control the marker together.

This activity connected to science by having students practice problem-solving, force and motion, coordination, and the engineering design process.

They quickly learned that moving the marker required everyone to communicate, work together, make adjustments, and try different strategies.

It was so much fun watching them problem-solve, encourage one another, and learn that sometimes the best solutions come from working together! 💙🔬🧪

Did you know that school starts at 8:00? Our cafeteria opens at 7:35 and closes at 8:00. We will move students out of the cafeteria by 8:05 to give the custodian and cafeteria workers enough time to prepare for lunch.
Students who arrive after 8:00 will be served breakfast to take to their classroom.

A message from Mrs
Waldron: Today in 5th grade my homeroom class put teamwork to the test! Our students worked with their groups to discover things they had in common. Once they found a commonality, they wrote it down and got to work building a tower!

The catch? I didn’t give them directions on how to build it, I simply told them the tallest tower wins! It was so much fun watching them problem-solve, communicate, encourage one another, and figure things out as a team.

My favorite part wasn’t even the towers. 💚 It was seeing new friendships begin to form, hearing their laughter fill the room, and watching them realize that sometimes the best way to connect with others is simply by finding the things you have in common.
