Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp

Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp Michigan OUTofDOORS Youth Camp is held for five weeks during the summer at the Cedar Lake Outdoor Center near Chelsea, MI.

This camp is special because of the emphasis placed on engaging youth in the outdoors and connecting them to the environment. We pride ourselves on our curriculum that teaches outdoor skills such as target shooting, hunter safety, trapping, camping, wilderness survival, conservation sciences. During their week at camp, youth will increase their knowledge of ecological concepts and broaden their aw

areness of conservation issues through hands-on nature experiences. They will also have the opportunity to practice technical skills including fishing and hunting techniques as well as riflery and archery. Our inquiry-based curriculum allows campers to investigate the natural world around them while gaining new skills and confidence in the outdoors. This focus on Michigan’s natural resources and each person’s role in the environment is what sets us apart from other summer camps. Campers are kept in small groups of no more than 20 to ensure they receive individualized instruction and to keep each camper safe while in our care. Extensively trained staff members work to deliver quality instruction and are held to the highest standards at all times. Campers will return home feeling positive about their experience and excited about the new skills they learned while at camp.

Funded by the Riley Foundation, 50 campers will attend our Riley Wilderness week of camp at no cost!

💙 Connor Shea Memorial Scholarship

It's almost time for our second annual charity golf outing to benefit the Michigan United Conservation Clubs Youth Camp. It's Friday the 25th at the beautiful West Branch Country Club. You don't have to be a scratch golfer and you don't need a foursome to sign up. We've got room for a few more folks and would love to see you there. Raffle items at this years event include an African Safari, Ontario bear hunt, several charter fishing trips, a Truck Trolley, Rapid River Knifeworks...and lots more.
