The Fall Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon!!
Come join us outside in front of Byam the night of the back to Byam school social on 9/24 or Friday evening 9/25 from 4PM-5:30PM, shop the fair and enter our raffle to win some scholastic prizes!!

Online shopping will also be available, the online fair link will be released and active the week of the Book Fair.
Book fair flyers will be sent home with students soon!

Byam School Association Meeting TONIGHT

Our first monthly Byam School Association (BSA) meeting of the school year will be held tonight, September 9th at 7pm. This meeting will be hybrid, so you can join in person at the Byam library or virtually via this Google Meet. Please refer to the Parent Square notification from Carolyn Quinn for the link to the meeting if attending virtually.

These monthly meetings are open to all members of the Byam community. Whether you are just curious about what we do, have a new idea, or are interested in helping out with an event or fundraiser, we encourage anyone interested to attend!

Tonight, our school committee rep will be in attendance, and we will get the update Principal Fredette! If you've ever been curious about what we do, want to meet the board, would like to help host an event, or just get involved in ANY capacity, we encourage you to join us!

❤️ Volunteers Make the Difference at Byam Elementary School! 🦁

The BSA hosts lots of fun events throughout the school year, but these events cannot happen without our amazing volunteers! There are opportunities to help during the school day, on weekends, and in the evening.

Are you creative, an organizer, scheduler, planner, or doer? It takes ALL KINDS to make the BSA run! We offer a number of events throughout the year, and in order to make these events happen, WE NEED YOU! ❤️

We’re gathering a list of people who may be interested and willing to help. Take a look through our list of events and select the ones you might be interested in supporting.

This form simply helps us identify people who may be interested in helping with specific BSA events. When it’s time to plan each event, we’ll reach out to confirm your availability and discuss what you may be able to take on. You are not committing to volunteer for any event by completing this form.

Volunteers can include parents, older siblings, grandparents, high school students looking for community service hours, and anyone else who would like to support the Byam community. Every helping hand makes a difference!

📚🎨🍎 Please also note: Separate volunteer forms will be available for Art, Library, and your child/children’s classrooms. Those opportunities will be shared separately by the appropriate specialists and/or classroom teachers.

Classroom volunteers (including library, math, etc.) must complete and submit a CORI form to the Byam School office. Please contact the school office for a CORI form.

If you attended the Book Fair last week take a look at this water bottle, is it yours? We also found black sunglasses and an umbrella left behind! All missing items can be picked up in the Byam Lost and Found!

We hope everyone made it to Art Night last week! Thank you again to Mrs Brown • Art for putting on a wonderful art show! The kids love seeing their work hung on the walls of Byam. We are so lucky to have you!!

Hello Byam families!

Sending out one final (desperate) plea for help… we need a couple volunteers to sell PIZZA and water at the art show/book fair (Wednesday) until we run out!

I am the parent volunteer (my kids are in 2nd and 5th) filling the role of Byam’s Scholastic chairperson since my oldest started at Byam.

I can juggle many parts of the book fair on my own- but the night of the art show is the busiest night and is when I could really use some help.
