If a school is one of your top choices, make sure they know it. A little enthusiasm can go a long way.

Don’t wait to file the FAFSA or CSS Profile!
Colleges have limited financial aid dollars, and some award funds are on a first-come, first-served basis. Filing early gives you more time to correct errors, and less stress before deadlines.
Even if you think you won’t qualify, it’s still worth filing. You never know what you might be eligible for, and completing the FAFSA or CSS Profile can also open the door to scholarships and other types of aid that aren’t based on financial need.
Some schools even have early CSS Profile deadlines, so check each college’s website and get started as soon as possible.
