A great repurposing idea with books! We will have books, tools, and other treasures available this Friday and Saturday at the MRC Tool Bucket Library's Tools & Treasures Sale at the Floral Park Sustainability Project, 104 E. Floral St., Centralia. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Proceeds will support the operation of the MRC Tool Bucket Library.

I stacked old hardcover books between two wooden rounds to make a unique side table that's both sturdy and a great conversation starter. 📚🪵

Reuse tips for the garden!

Reuse tips for the garden!

Scrap regrowing is such a fun kitchen project 🌱 A few tips I’ve learned:
🧅 Green onions, leeks, and lemongrass are some of the easiest
🥬 Romaine, cabbage, celery, and bok choy can push out fresh leaves
🥕 Carrot and beet tops regrow greens, not new roots
💧 Change the water often so it doesn’t get slimy
☀️ Give them bright light, but avoid hot direct sun on the jar
🪴 Move stronger starts into soil if you want them to last longer
I treat these as bonus greens, but it’s a great beginner-friendly way to reuse scraps.
