Checotah FFA would like to extend a tremendous Mvto (thank you) to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources for stepping up when we needed help most.

When the electricity went out at the school while we were distributing our FFA meat sale orders, one phone call was all it took. The Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources responded quickly and allowed us to use their refrigerated semi and trailer to continue distributing orders and, more importantly, safely store and freeze our remaining products overnight. Their quick response helped protect thousands of dollars of product belonging to our students and customers.

This is just one more example of something we see time and time again across Oklahoma: our Tribal Nations show up for their communities, their schools, and their young people. Their investment goes far beyond financial support it is about relationships, opportunities, education, agriculture, and making sure the next generation has what it needs to succeed.

We are especially grateful to the Muscogee (Creek) Nation for its continued support of Checotah FFA, FFA programs, agricultural education, and schools throughout the Muscogee Reservation. Whether supporting young people involved in FFA and 4-H, agricultural programs, education, or simply answering the call when a school needs help, the Muscogee Nation continues to demonstrate what service to community looks like.

Agricultural education and FFA are stronger because of partners who believe in our students and are willing to invest their time, resources, and support in them.

To everyone at the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources who helped us during this unexpected situation: Mvto! Your willingness to step in at a moment’s notice meant more to our chapter than you know.

Checotah FFA is incredibly thankful to have the Muscogee Nation as a friend, supporter, and partner in agricultural education.

Parents may come pick up meat sale orders NOW!
Students can not be checked out of class to deliver their products at this time.

📍 PICKUP LOCATION:
Meet at the southeast corner of the Animal Science Ag Building at the blue door next to the four roll-up doors attached to Mr. Ilbery’s building.

⏰ PLEASE PICK UP YOUR MEAT ASAP!
ALL MEAT MUST BE PICKED UP BY 5:00 PM TODAY!

The sooner you can get here to pick up your order, the better! It must be delivered today before it thaws!

This past week, our six of our officers attended Chapter Officer Leadership Training (C**T) Conference in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Our officers met with other officers in the northeast area as well as state officers and worked together to build leadership skills that they could bring home to their own chapter!

Blue & Gold & T&D Meats Delivery Information!

Our Blue & Gold and T&D Meats delivery will be on Monday, September 14th! Please read through the information below so pickup goes as smoothly as possible.

• ALL orders MUST be picked up on Monday, September 14th. We do not have the freezer space to store any orders overnight, so please make arrangements for pickup that day.

• If you ordered from one of our students, your order will stay with that student’s order. We will not be able to separate individual customer orders from a student’s total order, as this creates a lot of confusion while Mr. Ilbery, Mr. Stonebarger, and our students are sorting everything. Please allow the student you purchased from to deliver your order to you.

Thank you for helping us keep delivery day organized and running smoothly, and THANK YOU again for supporting our students!

Today, 41 Checotah FFA members traveled to the Rockin P Arena in Tahlequah for the Tahlequah FFA Cattle Grading Contest as part of the Northeast Area Cattle Grading Series!

For numerous of these members, it was their first time ever competing in cattle grading or any FFA activity. Students ranged in grades from 7th to 12 grade.

There were over 1,100 contestants today!

We are super proud of these members for getting out of their comfort zone and trying something new. We are looking forward to the next contest in the series, hosted by us, next Wednesday!

Congratulations to all of these members!
