We look forward to welcoming students from around the state to our Annual Cattle Grading Contest!

A huge thank you to the McIntosh County Cattlemen’s Association for their continued sponsorship!

Also, another huge thank you to the Checotah Round-Up Club for the use of the arena!

Of course we can not forget the Checotah Livestock Market and Sam Stamper for supporting us and lending us cattle to use for the day!

Checotah FFA is proud to have great community partners to support youth in agriculture. The future is bright in agriculture.

🎉 BIG NEWS FOR CHECOTAH FFA! 🎉

We are excited to announce that Checotah FFA and Agricultural Education has been awarded $115,541 in grant funding this year to continue growing and strengthening our program!

Our program was awarded:

💰 Oklahoma CareerTech Lottery Grant — $15,541
💰 High Growth and Energy Technology Grant — $100,000

These grants will allow us to invest in new equipment, technology, laboratory supplies, and hands-on learning opportunities that will directly benefit our students.

More importantly, this funding helps us continue strengthening the connection between agricultural education, CareerTech, and the workforce. By expanding the resources available in our classrooms and labs, we can better prepare students with the technical skills, industry knowledge, leadership abilities, and real-world experiences they need for careers after high school.

We would like to give a big congratulations to Mr. Ilbery and Mr. Stonebarger here at Checotah High School for receiving the High Growth and Energy Technology Grant!!

🎉 NOC and OSU Big 3 Field Days 🎉

Our members had an outstanding week representing Checotah FFA at both the NOC Sheep Field Day in Tonkawa and the OSU Big 3 Field Days in Stillwater.

🏆 Senior Livestock Judging Team – Reserve High Overall Team
🔹Rylee Howell – 2nd High Overall Individual
🏆Junior Livestock Judging Team – 5th Overall Team

Following NOC, our teams headed to Oklahoma State University to compete in the OSU Big 3 Field Days, one of the premier summer livestock judging events in the state.

🏆Junior Livestock Judging Team – 11th Overall Team

🔹Katie Dismukes – High Overall Individual in Swine
🔹Jade McPeak- 3rd High Individual – Best of the Best Reasons Contest & 4th High Overall Individual – Sheep & Goats. Jade was also presented with her Belt Buckle for making the All-State livestock judging team!

Congratulations to our member, Jade McPeak on being selected for the ODAFF youth council! What an outstanding accomplishment!

We are excited to announce our 2026-2027 Agriculture Youth Council Members!

The Council is focused on developing Oklahoma leaders in agriculture through professional development, industry exposure, and real-world experiences across Oklahoma’s diverse agriculture industry.

ODAFF is proud to welcome this year’s members and looks forward to an exciting year ahead!

What an incredible week at the 100th Oklahoma FFA State Convention in Tulsa!

The members had an unforgettable convention filled with accomplishments, memories, and recognition at the highest levels!

⭐ Our chapter was named a National 3-Star Chapter, placing us in the Top 1% of FFA chapters nationwide! This is an incredible honor and a true reflection of the hard work, dedication, and passion of our members, officers, supporters, and community.

🔹 Jade McPeak had several accomplishments this week! Jade was named as a member of the All-State Livestock Judging Team, Received a Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship from Ovintiv in the amount of 1,500 dollars, and was name the 2nd place individual in the STATE in Diversified Livestock Proficiency Awards! These are huge accomplishments!

🔹 Our chapter was also recognized by the and leveled up to a Four Star Bronze Level within the Chapter Trust program!

🔹Congratulations to Chloe Reeves on receiving her State FFA Degree, the highest degree a member can earn at the state level. This achievement represents years of dedication, leadership, and hard work in agricultural education and FFA.

🔹 Kharma Harmon was selected for the 2026 State FFA Choir where she sang on State with a packed BOK arena!

🔹To wrap up an amazing week, members enjoyed a well-deserved reward day at the Tulsa Zoo where they got to experience a different side of “animal agriculture” and celebrate all they accomplished this year!

We are beyond proud of every member who represented Checotah with pride during this historic 100th State Convention. The future is bright for Checotah FFA!

Congratulations to Jade McPeak on placing 1st in the Agriscience Speech Division and 3rd in the Ag Policy Division!

Jade qualified for the state speech contest in agriscience for this coming Friday night! Congratulations, Jade!
