“Words in the Wild” Outdoor Creative Writing Camp 2026, an academic camp for high school students, included excursions to hike and canoe, individual and collaborative writing projects, writing stories and poems inspired by the world around us.

Thank you to Isabella for being our amazing assistant all week, to Bianca for being the best ambassador and sardines coordinator, to Dr. Stankavich and Brittny Desvarieux (Professional Writing alumnus, 2021) for leading inspiring writing sessions, and to all our campers—Alexis, Allison, CJ, Sofia, Abigail, Kirsten, and Ryan—for bringing the creativity and energy! 💫

Tonight we celebrated excellence in the English major at our Sigma Tau Delta Induction and Senior Recognition Ceremony. ✨📚

Congratulations to our 9 new inductees welcomed into the honor society—Samantha Blackburn, Genessis Castellanos-Radillo, Isabella Dixon, Valeria Grijalva, Shae Laffey, April Lin-Ao, Gwendolyn Loney, Jacqueline Miyoung Park, and Joshua Scott—and to the 6 Sigma Tau Delta seniors—Chehalis Eno, Briana Fong, Sam Fullmer, Anaya Miller, Joshua Scott, and Noah Warner—who we were proud to recognize for their hard work, scholarship, and dedication to the study of literature and language.
