Woodmore Elementary welcomed a very special guest this week-WNBA star and former student Rhyne Howard returned to the halls where her journey first began! Students and staff were thrilled to meet the Atlanta Dream standout, who grew up walking the same Woodmore classrooms and playing on the same playground.

During her visit, she donated coats, answered questions, posed for photos, and reminded students that greatness can start anywhere—even in an elementary school gym.

Woodmore Elementary celebrates Rhyne Howard’s achievements and thanks her for inspiring the next generation of scholars and athletes.

Career Day was a huge success last week! Thank you to Smith-Perry Berries, PBS Kids, Dalton State, Kenny Alexander at Express Oil, Lawrence Ward, Chattanooga Fire Department, Chattanooga Police Department and Hamilton County EMS for teaching our students all about your jobs. They learned so much! We appreciate you sharing your knowledge with them!
