At our studio, each student grows at their own pace, honored for their individuality and emotional well-being.

Curiosity leads, comparison fades, and progress is celebrated. For many of our students Art becomes a grounding practice and a return to self.

✨🐼 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: DOTTIE 🐼✨

Another incredible piece by our amazing Dottie! 💛

Just look at this adorable panda! From the expressive little face to the beautiful textures in the bamboo and leafy surroundings, Dottie brought so much personality and life into this painting. And can we take a moment to appreciate that sweet little expression? It almost feels like this panda paused mid-snack just to say hello. 🐼🌿

What makes this piece especially exciting is the level of growth we continue to see in Dottie’s work. The beautiful contrast between the soft black-and-white fur and the rich greens of the environment creates such a lovely sense of balance and depth. The composition feels thoughtful, playful, and full of charm.

And let’s talk about perseverance for a moment… because art is not always easy. There are layers, adjustments, patience, and moments of trying again. Watching Dottie stay committed to the process, problem-solve, and continue pushing herself artistically is something that makes us incredibly proud.

Every new project she takes on seems to reveal another layer of her creativity, confidence, and growing artistic voice, and this sweet panda is no exception! 🌿✨

Dottie, you continue to amaze us. Keep creating, keep exploring, and keep believing in that beautiful imagination of yours, because it is taking you to wonderful places.

Way to go, Dottie! Another beautiful success! 🐼💚

Sloka has done it again! 🌟

Just look at this absolutely adorable painting of Baby Grogu! From the sweet expression to those tiny details, this young artist brought so much personality and charm into her artwork. And can we talk about that magical galaxy-inspired background? ✨🌌 It makes little Grogu feel like he stepped right out of a storybook and into his own tiny universe.

What makes me especially proud of Sloka is her beautiful attention to detail and the love she pours into every project she takes on. You can see the patience, care, and joy in every brushstroke. ✨💛 CELEBRATING SISTERLY LOVE 💛✨

Some days become memories that stay tucked safely in the heart forever… and this was definitely one of them.

Our studio was beyond blessed by the beautiful presence of these three precious sisters, who turned an ordinary day into something truly special. 🌸

Together, they laughed, shopped, painted side by side, shared stories, and enjoyed lunch in our onsite café, creating not only beautiful artwork, but beautiful memories together.

There is something deeply touching about witnessing sisterhood in motion… the gentle teasing, the encouragement, the shared smiles, the quiet understanding that only sisters seem to carry. Watching them create beside one another felt like seeing love painted in real time.

And can we take a moment to admire their beautiful paintings? Each one unique, each one carrying its own personality, yet somehow perfectly connected, just like them. 🌿🐦

At Beyond the Brush, moments like these remind us that art is about so much more than learning techniques. It is about connection. Togetherness. Slowing down long enough to celebrate the people we love.

A day filled with creativity, laughter, lunch, and sisterly love… truly a celebration to remember always. 💛

Thank you, sweet ladies, for allowing us to be a small part of such a meaningful day. The studio felt warmer because of your presence.

I made this small compilation of some of my students portraiture works. I find I am missing a lot of footage that somehow got lost inside the mysterious “cloud” that’s responsible for storing these treasures 😨😓😭. Still, I think this is an awesome video you don’t want to miss!
Enjoy!!
And again a huge congratulations to all of my wonderful students whose hard work has made them blossom beyond believe!!!!!!

✨🎨 COMMUNITY, CREATIVITY & COMPASSION 🎨✨

Some evenings become unforgettable… not because everything goes perfectly, but because people show up with heart.

Last night was truly something special.

Even after losing power, these incredible women continued creating, laughing, encouraging one another, and showing what community really looks like. Candlelight may not have been part of the original plan, but somehow, it made the night feel even more meaningful. 💛

Together, we painted, connected, and most importantly, came together to raise funds for local victims of domestic violence. Because art has always been about more than paint on a canvas. Sometimes, it becomes healing. Sometimes, hope. Sometimes, a way to remind others they are not alone.

To every beautiful soul who joined us: thank you. Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, your resilience, and your willingness to show up for a cause that matters so deeply.

Looking around this room filled with creativity and compassion reminded me once again why community matters so much.

Love each and every one of these amazing women. 💛

✨🌿 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: ANA CRISTINA 🌿✨

Some journeys arrive quietly… and then suddenly bloom into something extraordinary.

Today, we want to celebrate our incredible Ana Cristina, one of our beloved adult students whose artistic journey began in her 80s. Yes, you read that right… in her 80s. And what a privilege, what an honor it has been to witness this beautiful unfolding. 💛

Words cannot fully express how thankful I am to work with her, nor how deeply proud I feel watching what has emerged from her hands, her heart, and her courage to begin.

Just take a moment and truly look at this painting.

The peaceful forest atmosphere… the softness of the mist… the delicate glow of light filtering through the trees as though the forest itself were whispering a secret. And there, standing quietly among it all, the deer, almost sacred in presence, inviting us into stillness.

What makes this piece especially remarkable is the level of sensitivity Ana Cristina brought into it.

The composition gently guides your eyes through the forest, pulling you inward as if you could step directly into the scene. Her brushstrokes are thoughtful and intentional, soft where softness is needed, layered beautifully to create depth and mystery. The subtle transitions of light and shadow, the glow breaking through the trees, the delicate textures of the forest floor… all these tiny details came together to create something truly breathtaking.

And perhaps what moves me most is this:

This kind of beauty does not come only from technique. It comes from observation, patience, courage, and heart.

For someone who is only now discovering this gift, what Ana Cristina has achieved here is nothing short of exceptional. Truly mind-blowing.

Ana Cristina, thank you for trusting yourself enough to begin. Thank you for showing us that creativity has no expiration date, that beauty can bloom in every season of life, and that sometimes gifts are not late… they are simply waiting for the perfect moment to awaken.

We are so incredibly proud of you. This painting is a huge success and such a beautiful reflection of the artist you are becoming. 🌿✨

Congratulations, dear Ana Cristina. The world inside of you is beautiful, and we are so grateful to witness it unfold. 💛

✨💜 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: ELISE 💜✨

Some milestones deserve extra celebration… and this one is absolutely one for the books.

Today, we are beyond proud to celebrate our incredible Elise and this breathtaking accomplishment: her very first portrait ever painted in acrylics! 🎨

And not just any portrait…

A deeply personal, imaginative, and symbolic self-portrait, painted through the language of color, emotion, and identity.

Every shade chosen here carries meaning. The flowing purples, blues, and greens represent the colors Elise feels connected to, colors that speak to her soul, her dreams, her spirit, and a world of endless possibilities still waiting to unfold. There is something beautifully introspective about this piece, almost as if she painted not only who she is… but who she is becoming.

And can we talk about the technical achievement here for a moment? Because this is no small feat.

Portraiture in acrylic paint is hard. Very hard.

Acrylic dries quickly, making smooth blending, soft transitions, skin tones, and subtle expressions incredibly challenging, especially for a first portrait. Yet Elise approached every brushstroke with patience, focus, and the kind of determination that says: “I want to grow. I want to push myself further.”

And she did exactly that.

The softness of the blending, the movement of the hair, the emotion in the gaze, the atmosphere she created… all of it speaks to an artist who is not afraid to challenge herself and rise to meet that challenge with grace.

Elise, what makes us most proud is not only your talent, though you have so much of it… it is your dedication, your willingness to stretch beyond your comfort zone, and the beautiful care and devotion you pour into your work every single time.

You are blossoming into such a remarkable artist, and it is a true joy to witness.

Congratulations, darling 💜
This one is truly one for the books.

Kristina

🦈✨ Some artists paint what they see. Others paint what they love. And when you look at Joe’s face holding this piece, it is very clear… this hammerhead shark was created with pure excitement and wonder.

Just look at the beautiful blending, the soft underwater atmosphere, and the incredible attention to detail in his pastel work! From the smooth curves of the hammerhead to the subtle shifts in color and light, Joe approached this challenge with so much focus, patience, and determination.

And can we take a moment to appreciate that expression? The kind that says: “I made this… and I’m proud of it.” 💙

Watching young artists grow is one of the greatest joys of what we do. Little by little, layer by layer, confidence begins to bloom… and suddenly, something amazing swims onto the paper 🦈

Joe, we are so incredibly proud of you and the care you poured into this beautiful artwork. Your talent is growing more and more with every piece you create, and we cannot wait to see what ocean adventure you paint next!

Keep shining, sweet artist 💛
