Congratulations, Mr. Carrasco!

STEM School Chattanooga is excited to celebrate Mr. Kyle Carrasco, a STEM School teacher, who has been promoted to serve as the Assistant Principal at East Brainerd Elementary School.

During his time at STEM, Mr. Carrasco made a lasting impact on our students, staff, and school community. Through his leadership in STEM IV, Inventanooga, Government/Economics, digital fabrication, and Socratic seminars, he helped students think deeply, communicate clearly, and take real-world ideas from concept to action.

His work with Inventanooga expanded opportunities for students to connect with community partners, UTC, and expert panels who pushed their thinking and helped them grow. Our students left STEM IV better prepared to take on the world, better understand how to solve real-world problems, and better equipped to create sustainable ideas and businesses that make a difference.

While STEM will certainly miss Mr. Carrasco, we are proud to see him continue to grow as a leader in Hamilton County Schools. East Brainerd Elementary is gaining an educator who brings passion, creativity, high expectations, and a deep commitment to students.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Hale!

STEM School Chattanooga is excited to welcome Mr. Vincent Hale as our new Assistant Principal for next school year.

This transition comes as we celebrate Mr. Keunta Graham, our former Assistant Principal, who has been promoted to serve as the Principal of Harrison Bay Future Ready Center. We are proud of Mr. Graham and grateful for the leadership he shared with STEM.

As Mr. Graham begins this next chapter, we are honored to welcome Mr. Hale into the STEM School community. Mr. Hale comes to STEM with a strong background in educational leadership, the arts, student mentorship, and school culture. He has made a powerful impact at CCA through his leadership of the Green Team, direction of the Men’s Ensemble, mentorship of students, support of school traditions, and the joy and energy he brings to those around him.

While CCA will certainly miss his humor, passion, leadership, and unmistakable smile, we look forward to learning from Mr. Hale, helping him grow within the STEM model, and partnering with him as we continue to develop and share world-class education.

STEM School welcomed over 3,000 elementary students to the 2026 STEM Jubilee this week! Students explored over 150 STEM and STEAM activities, each run by STEM School, Ivy Academy, and Signal Mountain Middle School students. Thanks to our partners at the Creative Discovery Museum, our four Senior Student Leaders, and everyone that made this event a success!

Congratulations to STEM III students Dawson, Mason, June, and Micah for winning Hamilton County School's Great Toy Challenge, placing first among the 76 applicants with their innovative, original toy "The Busiest Board". Through STEM School’s collaboration with Siskin Children’s Institute, the STEM III students created an adaptive busy board for children with special needs. This is the 2nd year in a row that STEM students have won the Great Toy Challenge under the guidance of STEM III teacher Ms. Wineland! Thank you also to the Public Education Foundation for creating meaningful engineering challenges for students across the district.

HUGE thank you to Smoothie King!! This morning, they were extremely generous in donating smoothies for our amazing staff in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week. They brought us 3 of their most popular flavors, and they were all delicious!! If you're looking for a smoothie, definitely consider Smoothie King in Hixson. They are extremely kind and do not disappoint! Our staff is grateful! Thanks again!

STEM Juniors and Seniors shined at the 2026 “A Night in Disguise” STEM Gala! Students were greeted by “paparazzi” as they walked the red carpet for a night of fabulous food, music, dancing, and fun!

STEM School’s parnership with Chattanooga State allows students to explore the fine arts through classes like Symphonic Band and Concert Choir. Four freshmen STEM students performed in the Chatt State Symphonic Band Spring Concert last week, showing off their musical talents!

The arrival of Spring also means it’s time for House Week and the Faculty/Student Dodgeball Game, with special performances by the new STEM Pep Squad! Also, congratulations to the 2026 Spirit Stick Winner, House Einstein!
