Our Kindergarten students made their first visit to our St. Jude Parish Atrium and experienced their first lesson with the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Based on the belief that "Between Christ and the children there exists a profound affinity, " this is a religious education program rooted in sacred scripture and the liturgy that uses a Montessori-style approach. We are grateful to all of our parish and school leaders who devoted many hours in the development of this program that will benefit all of our .

For many years, one of the most beloved traditions at St. Jude School is the pairing of the first and eighth grade partners. The relationships these friends develop often extend beyond elementary school and are always remembered. With much anticipation and snacks to celebrate, our friends met today for the first time!

Martha Mundine made such a leap earlier this year when she left the low country of her native Gulf Coast for the hills of East Tennessee to become the Diocese of Knoxville’s new superintendent of schools.

Learning AND fun today for our middle school students, who tested out the scientific method! Students were allowed to choose their own experiments:
1. Which bubble gum produces the biggest bubbles?
2. Can people tell the difference between lemon-lime sodas?
3. Can people tell the difference between Gatorade flavors?
The experiments continue...what will they find?

Last night we welcomed our for a wonderful potluck and Home and School Association meeting. This was followed by classroom and teacher visits! Thank you to our HASA leaders and all who made this such an enjoyable evening. 2026 - 2027 is going to be a great school year at St. Jude School!

Thank you Giant Steps, for joining our 5th-grade music class and our Mr. Albus to help our students learn about and experience the opportunities available in Band. Our students had a great time learning about the various instruments.
