Check out this information from the American academy of pediatrics! We understand an upset toddler can be difficult to manage. Turning to screens can be a quick and easy answer, but consistent use of screens for emotional management isn't as effective in the long run.
Using emotional regulation techniques after modeling and conversation can help! Here is one we like to use: pretending to sniff a flower, holding that breath, and blowing it out like you are blowing a pinwheel! 🌸
Screens and tech definitely have their time and place in education and in the hands of young people, but tiny minds need boundaries, and room to develop! 💻📚🪀
