We had such a fun morning visiting Channel 9’s “This N That!” 🩵

Our School Director, Leeann, and Cosmetology Instructor, Jamee, stopped by the studio to talk all things Brillaré—and most importantly, to share just how excited we are to welcome our NEWEST COSMETOLOGY CLASS starting September 8! ✂️✨

There is something so exciting about watching someone walk through our doors on day one, ready to begin an entirely new chapter. They come to us ready to learn, create, grow their confidence, and discover just how many possibilities exist within the beauty industry.

And we LOVE getting to be part of that journey. 🩵

✨ ESTHETICIAN INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT: Haleigh Young ✨

This month’s Esthetician Instructor Spotlight was chosen by the people who experience her dedication firsthand—her students. 🖤

And when they talk about Haleigh, one thing is incredibly clear: she shows up.❤️

Her students describe Haleigh as a wealth of knowledge—someone who is hands-on, encouraging, incredibly helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure everyone truly understands not only how to perform their services, but why and what goes into doing them well.✨

She has an incredible ability to handle high-volume, sometimes downright crazy situations with confidence while still making sure her students feel supported and learning stays FUN. ✨

One of the things her students wanted recognized most was just how much Haleigh does—not only for them, but for her fellow instructors and the Brillare community as a whole.

They shared that Haleigh began her instructor journey during a particularly crazy season, but she took the reins and went from there. And she hasn’t stopped since.

Her students describe her as an incredible instructor who works extremely hard, deserves recognition for everything she does, and somehow continues to put up with all of the wonderfully crazy moments that come with beauty school. 😂🖤

And her dedication to this industry doesn’t stop when the school day ends. Haleigh continues working with her own private clients outside of her instructor hours, bringing that real-world experience and knowledge right back into the classroom.

✨ INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT: ABBI✨

Abbi was chosen by the people who know her impact best—our students. 🖤

This month, we’re celebrating Abbi as our Cosmetology Instructor Spotlight Award winner!

When students were asked what makes Abbi stand out, one thing came through loud and clear: she shows up for them.

Her students describe her as someone who is always willing to help them figure out the best approach to a service, who goes above and beyond to help them succeed, and who somehow manages to be both their biggest cheerleader and a listening ear when they need one most.

One student shared:

“No matter how much attitude I have with her, she still pours into me and never leaves me sad or angry.” 🥹

And honestly… what a beautiful description of an educator.

Teaching isn’t only about sharing technique or knowledge. It’s about meeting students where they are, challenging them, encouraging them, and continuing to pour into them while they grow—not just as beauty professionals, but as people.

And Abbi does exactly that. ✨

🎭✨ REAL SCENARIOS. REAL PROBLEM SOLVING. REAL EDUCATION.

Before the color is mixed, the shears come out, or the service ever begins, there is one incredibly important step:

The consultation.

Because behind the chair, you never know exactly what—or who—is going to sit down in front of you.

During this recent role-playing experience, our students were given random, unknown client scenarios and challenged to work through them just like they will in the salon.

What questions should you ask?
What are you seeing and hearing?
What does the hair history tell you?
Is the client's goal realistic?
And most importantly—WHY are you choosing the service, technique, or formula you're recommending?

Exercises like this give our students a safe space to practice critical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and the science and art behind their decisions before they're standing behind the chair on their own.

Because at Brillare, we don't just teach our students HOW to do hair.

We teach them to understand WHY. 🐝✨

And that understanding is what builds confident, capable beauty professionals.

Today, we're celebrating our most recent graduating class of Cosmetology and Esthetics professionals, and we could not be more proud of everything they have accomplished.

We've had the privilege of watching these students learn, grow, challenge themselves, build confidence, and create some truly phenomenal work throughout their time at Brillare. But above all else, we've watched them SHINE. ✨

Now it's time to send them out into the beauty industry to begin their next chapter.

To our graduates: the skills you've built here are only the beginning. We cannot wait to watch you find your place in this industry, continue growing into the professionals you're becoming, and see all that you accomplish in the years ahead. 🤍

There’s just something about that final clock out. 🥹🤍

This month, we’re celebrating our August students who officially completed their hours at Brillare and are closing out one chapter to begin an entirely new one!

Behind every one of those hours were early mornings, long days, clients, practicals, tests, challenges, breakthroughs, LOTS of questions, and so much growth. And now… they did it. 👏

Watching our students walk in on day one and then seeing the professionals they’ve become by their final clock out is one of the BEST parts of what we get to do.

To our August finishers: we are incredibly proud of you. Take everything you’ve learned, trust the skills you’ve built, and go show this industry exactly what you can do.
