The 4-H archery club is open to Hamilton County 4th-12th graders. The first step in joining the archery club is to sign up for 4-H Archery Preview Day by August 20 by calling the Extension office (423-209-8560). Did you know the 4-H Gardening Club has its own raised bed garden at the Extension office? 4th-8th graders are welcome to come learn about gardening (and do a craft related to the garden) at the next meeting on Monday, June 30, 4:30-6 pm. There is no cost to participate in this club, which meets once a month, year-round!

4-H Day Camp is June 30-July 3 for children in grades 4th through 6th. This camp gives participants a chance to try out many of the 4-H club activities available in Hamilton County and find out more about 4-H. Activities include robotics, archery, gardening, wildlife, art, games, and food and nutrition activities. 9:00-2:30 each day. Cost is $50 for all four days. 4-H Junior Camp is for grades 4th through 6th in Greeneville, TN. Dates for 2025 are June 9-13. Activities include fishing, swimming, water slide, canoeing, Ga Ga ball, archery and rifle range, nature hikes, arts and crafts, and tie dyeing shirts. Enter the 4-H Bread Baking Contest Tuesday, October 17 at 5:00 pm! Grades 4th-12th can bring a loaf of yeast bread or 2 yeast rolls that they made and be in this fun competition. Prizes include 4-H baking supplies and a rosette ribbon. Come in costume and enter the club costume contest, too, with fun Halloween prizes. The 4-H Citizenship Club is open to all Hamilton County youth in 4-12 grade. There is no cost to participate. Come join the fun! Call the office with any questions 423-209-8560.
