In 1948 Lee Anderson was voted to take control of helping to find a house, and 901 Oak Street was acquired. Anderson retired in 2012 as the Associate Publisher of the Chattanooga Times Free Press, where he has worked since he was 16-years-old. The house burned to the ground in 1998; caused by an electrical malfunction.
