Rolling relief: A day on the road with UTC’s MobileMOC health team | UTC News MobileMOC—an outreach health clinic on wheels—is designed to provide health care access for older adults in local rural communities, offering services such as preventive care, screenings, chronic disease management and social services.

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death our colleague and friend, Dr. Robyn Bible Tobias, who passed away on January 2, 2025. Dr. Tobias is a 4-time graduate of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga receiving her BS (1997), BSN (2004), MSN-FNP (2012) and DNP (2023). Her knowledge and kindness impacted more than just those students she taught in the UTC School of Nursing for the last 13 years, primarily in the RN to BSN program. She will be greatly missed by everyone at the School of Nursing. Dr. Tobias’ husband, 3 sons, grandchildren and family will be in our continued thoughts and prayers.

Through conversation with Robyn’s family, the School of Nursing faculty and staff are giving our gifts in Robyn’s name to the Dorothy and Jim Kennedy Health Sciences Building, the future home of the UTC School of Nursing. When appropriate, the faculty and staff will work with Robyn’s family to find an appropriate way to honor Robyn’s commitment to nursing education.
