Congratulations to our retirees on starting their next chapters! Mrs. Bert McCord was our UDL teacher; Coach Shaen Clark taught personal finance; Coach Mike James taught P.E. and wellness and drove a bus, which is why he was unable to be recognized at school. And finally Mr. Willie Joiner was our principal. These educators are loved, appreciated, and will be missed! 💜💛

🚨 LADY CATS TRYOUT UPDATE 🚨

Due to wet field conditions and expected rain, today’s Lady Cats tryouts have been rescheduled.

Tryouts will now take place on:

📍 Jim Chance Field

If weather impacts next week’s tryouts, the makeup date will be:

LCHS Instructor, Mr. Tipper and star student, Trevor Shane Hines have been in the classroom together since Kindergarten. Today marked their very last day together in the Lawrence County School System. Teachers matter. Students matter. Time spent together in the school walls is special! To know Trevor Shane is to love him!

Attendance has been a focus this year for the Lawrence County School System. A $50 Shell / Edwards Oil gift card was awarded to 4 students with 95% attendance rate or better for the school year at LCHS. Winners are: Alexis Serrett, Samuel Prince, Olivia Price, and Hunter Bartlett (not pictured).
