The Rapid Learning Whitewater Program is part of Outdoor Chattanooga/division cityParks&Outdoors Dept
Rapid Learning provides the equipment and instructors for people ages 8 and above to learn and master the skills they need to safely and confidently paddle the Chattanooga area's whitewater streams. The program will take participants from their first wet exit to running Class III rapids. First visit is free, see if learning whitewater kayaking is for you, then when you know you want to commit to learning, continue building your skills by purchasing a package of lessons.

Learn to whitewater kayak - start with Rapid Learning- we provide formal instruction AND equipment!! Oh and check out Tennessee Valley Canoe Club too. Our programs dovetail together- excellent for the Chattanooga area folks!

Unfortunately, Rapid Learning is canceled for tonight due to inclement weather.
We’re excited to kick off our season next week on May 13th! Remember, you can start any Wednesday throughout the summer—and your first class is free. Class times are 6pm or 7pm.
All equipment is provided; just come prepared to get wet.
Typically, summer rainstorms do not cancel the program. However, this is a sustained system with colder thunder rain, and we feel this is the best decision for today. See you at Lake Chickamauga at Chester Frost next week!!!!

Typically we hold class even in rain- but not thunderstorms. Summer usually provides pop up rain- but this one is a system.
