🎉 Pre-K Applications Are NOW OPEN at Red Bank Elementary! 🎉

We are excited to offer THREE Pre-K classrooms for the 2026–2027 school year:
✨ TWO income-based (VPK) classrooms
✨ ONE NEW tuition-based classroom

What’s the difference?

🟢 Income-Based Pre-K (VPK):
This grant-funded program is designed to support families with demonstrated financial need. Eligibility is determined through income documentation, and students are selected using a weighted application process that considers factors such as income, family structure, and other qualifying circumstances in alignment with Tennessee Department of Education guidelines.

🔵 Tuition-Based Pre-K:
New this year, Hamilton County Schools is expanding access by offering a tuition-based option! This classroom follows the same high-quality Pre-K experience, with tuition supporting staffing to meet the state-required 1:10 ratio. Because Tennessee does not currently fund universal Pre-K, this model allows us to serve more children in our community before kindergarten.

*Our new tuition-based PreK classroom will replace our current Exceptional Education PreK classroom, meaning RBE will not offer an Exceptional Education PreK next school year. However, we are here to help! If you desire an Exceptional Education PreK classroom for your child next school year, we would love to support you in finding the best location for your child and family. Please call the Pre-K department at 423-498-7131 or email Brooke Bridges at [email protected].

Eligibility:
Children must be 4 years old on or before August 15, 2026 (students who turn 5 by this date should enroll in Kindergarten).

📝 Important: Families will complete ONE application and select the type of Pre-K classroom (income-based or tuition-based) they are interested in. https://hcde.org/opportunity-and-access/pre-kindergarten/

We are thrilled to continue growing opportunities for our youngest learners and can’t wait to welcome our newest little Lions to the RBE family! 🦁
