Exploratory meeting for a new 4-H Goat Club in Hamilton County Friday, August 21 at 5:00 at the Extension office. Grades 4th through 12th are invited to attend and join this club, whether or not they own goats. There is no cost to join or participate.

The Hamilton County 4-H Robotics Club will hold the first meeting of the new season Thursday, August 13 at 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Extension Office. Teens in grades 8th through 12th with an interest in FTC competition robotics are welcome to come to this meeting and find out more about the 4-H robotics program.

What great cooks who learned to incorporate the Mediterranean Eating Pattern in their lifestyle and prepared nine different healthy dishes. Thanks to Master Gardeners of Hamilton County, TN for the delicious herbs and for the produce and farm made tahini used to make the beautiful and nutritious beet hummus. Even if you aren't a beet fan, you'll like this. It's the vivid pink dish topped with feta.

A new state record for the Tennessee Sate Fair- Hamilton County was represented by four people who made 18 entries! Can't wait to see if we had any winners.

The Tennessee State Fair is open August 13-22 in Lebanon. Shelley Vey began preserving food after retirement and is representing Hamilton County in the Canning Competition. Wish Shelley, Leslie Hartsell, Susan Simpkins and Linda Swafford good luck!
