We had a blast at the International Festival tonight! Thanks for everyone who stopped by our PTA booth and chatted us up! Also, an extra special thanks to all the wonderful families who sponsored a table so that we could learn about your heritage (and eat your tasty food!)

Love is all around at East Brainerd Elementary! We’ve been serving up gratitude - and meals - to the teachers and staff this week. Teachers have also been proudly displaying all the poems, drawings, and cards given to them by students. Just check out Mr.Keller’s door (pictured)!

A huge thank you to Ms. Owensby and Ms. Lee who have been planning this Teacher Appreciation week for months and organized prize giveaways for each day. Also, thank you to all the PTA volunteers who have showed up to serve (and the ones that are coming later in the week). We are only as good as our volunteers and we have the best around!

Next week is Teacher Appreciation week and we put out a calendar of suggested ways that students can participate. (Scroll our feed if you missed it!) There have been some questions, so this photo is a sample week for the fictional teacher “Ms.Jones,” whose favorite color is purple and favorite snack is sour candy. If Ms.Jones were your student’s teacher, this is how next week might look for you!

We had a great time giving treats to all of the new students and parents at Kindergarten Registration Night! Thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted with us!

The PTA will be at Kindergarten Registration Night tomorrow (April 23rd) from 5-7pm!

And just like that, our Scholastic Book Fair has rolled out of town! We are tremendously grateful to all of our volunteers; from set-up, to shutdown, and all of the chaotic days in between - you were amazing!

A special shout out to our librarian, Mrs.Mowery, who donated her own time and, occasionally, her own money to ensure the fair was a success. East Brainerd Elementary is so lucky to have you!

We ended our Lucky Shamrock Staff Appreciation Week with a huge bunch of winners! (We had even more winners than pictured! ) Thanks to everyone for participating - we’re so lucky to have you!

Our PTA Leprechaun was very busy hiding shamrocks today, and it paid off with dozens of lucky winners! We’re having a blast bringing smiles to these hard working staff members- thanks again for all you do!
