Little ones learn best OUTSIDE ๐ŸŒณ

At forest preschool, children learn the way they were designed to learn ๐Ÿง

Research shows nature-based learning helps build confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills, social development, and a lifelong love of learning. ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿ‚

Movement, exploration, creativity, socio-emotional learning, and meaningful outdoor play shape our days in the great outdoors ๐ŸŒ

Curiosity and discovery lead the way and small, intentional classes immersed in the forest help spark a lifelong love of learning ๐Ÿฅพ

There are a few spots still open in our forest preschool programs at Ivy Academy for the 2026-2027 school year ๐Ÿ’š

But spaces are limited and filling quickly! ๐ŸŒณ

Fill their childhood with muddy boots, fresh air, movement, hands-on discovery, and a deep connection to nature, others, and self ๐Ÿ’š

"Today we have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue. We have been given the duty to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things. So now, we bring our minds together as one as we give greetings and thanks to each other as people." - from the Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address:
Greetings to the Natural World

Each November, students explore Indigenous cultures and traditions, including the Three Sisters โ€” corn, beans, and squash โ€” an agricultural practice still cultivated and shared today. This learning is brought to life as students prepare a dish and gather for a campus-wide feast, honoring the land, one another, and the generations who have carried this knowledge forward. We're so grateful! ๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿซ˜
