Today marks 11 full years of music making with Music Together Chattanooga. Over a decade of being a Music Together Center Director and Teacher - and almost 11 years being a Music Together parent! I can hardly believe it’s already been 11 years!
It was a Monday evening, January 12, 2015 when we held our first ever Music Together Chattanooga class. I was *very* pregnant with my oldest, and I had no idea the beautiful journey that we were starting!
We were a small center, just one class, 5 families, one teacher, and just a lot whole of love for music. Never could I have dreamed of what was to come! Here we are 10 years later: we’ve welcomed over 500 families into our program, held over 3,300 classes, been blessed by multiple locations through the years, have experienced the joy of a TEAM of fabulous teachers, and completed several years of ONLINE music making that allowed us to connect with families all over the globe (some of which we never even met in person! 😱).
We had some challenging years after Covid, but we thriving in our current space. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of our MTC families who have joined our musical community over the years. We would not be able to celebrate 11 years of music making without you.
My heart is full. Overflowing, really. The love, laughter, joy, and memories that have been shared with our Music Together Chattanooga families over the years is something I will cherish forever. I cherish it for my family, too! The boys are 8 & 10 and have completed the full Music Together program - they’re taking piano lessons now. The girls are 2 & 4 and are still *loving* their mixed aged classes - they actually get to go two or three times a week! I’m so incredibly thankful that all 4️⃣ of my sweet kiddos have never known a time without Music Together. 🫶🏼 Music class remains a favorite time for us, and the memories we are continuing to make are so precious to me. 💕
