Lola Matheny is a  senior who loves music, the outdoors, and community service. She also completed STEP-UP career readiness training and was hired by seahorse_snacks for a paid internship.

The College and Career Success Team is so lucky to be part of as we get to work with some of the most talented, passionate, creative, hard working, and genuine colleagues who are fierce advocates of public education in Hamilton County.

While supports students, initiatives like identify and support new teacher talent, and assists teacher leaders in stretching their craft. The 35th Anniversary celebration was a milestone in the incredible work we have done, and an exciting page turn in the work that continues ahead!

⬇️ You will need the following information:
• Your Social Security Number
• Your A-Number (if you're not a U.S. citizen)
• Federal income tax returns, records of child support received; and your current balance of cash, savings, and checking accounts (Note: You must provide consent and approval to disclose your federal tax information to be eligible for federal student aid.)
• Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable), net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
• Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
• An FSA ID (account username and password) to log in to StudentAid.gov and start the FAFSA form electronically
• If you are a dependent student, you will also need most of the above information for your parent(s).

Camp College 2024 is underway! Day 1 kicked off with a safe arrival, check-in, overview, and campus tours. We're fortunate to have Dr. Shawn Boyd speaking on branding yourself for college.

PEF congratulates Alex Rollins among the Class of 2024 college graduates who participated in our College and Career Success programs! Alex graduated with a B.S. in English: Secondary Education from Bryan College. The 2020 Hixson High alum earned his college degree summa cm laude and received the Mrs. E.B. Arnold Student Teacher Award for Secondary Education! Alex was a PEF STEP-UP Ambassador, and an Eichenthal Fellow through which he worked with Camp College, the Fab Institute, and Alex completed his student teaching at Meigs County High School. He plans on returning there this Fall as an English teacher after he passes the Praxis exams.
As a bonus, Alex got to graduate with his brother Andrew Rollins who earned a B.A. in Biblical and Theological Studies! Congrats to both of you!
