Our End-of-Year Promotion Ceremony a couple of weeks ago was a special time to recognize the hard work, growth, and accomplishments of our students. From mastering new skills and discovering new ideas to growing in wisdom and faith, each student has taken important steps forward on their educational journey.

We are grateful for our dedicated teachers, supportive families, and most of all, God's faithfulness throughout the year. As we look ahead to the summer and the opportunities of a new school year, we praise Him for the foundation being built in the hearts and minds of our students.

Congratulations to all of our students on a wonderful year! We can't wait to see what God has in store for you next. 💙📚✝️

📚 Summer Reading is Here! ☀️

At Point Christian Academy, learning doesn’t stop when the school year ends! Our Summer Reading Program helps students continue growing in knowledge, imagination, and a love for great books throughout the break.

Families can find grade-specific summer reading requirements and book lists on our website. Whether your child is diving into a classic adventure, exploring history, or enjoying a favorite story, we encourage every student to make reading a regular part of their summer.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice secured freedoms we often take for granted and reminds us of the cost of liberty.

At Point Christian Academy, we are grateful for those who selflessly served and for the families who carry their legacy. As we enjoy this day with loved ones, may we take a moment to reflect on the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of our nation's fallen heroes.

Point Christian Academy is thrilled to introduce our new Head of School, Holly Kidder.

"I am honored and excited to join the community at Point Christian Academy! With 27 years of experience in education, I have dedicated my career to serving students, supporting teachers, and helping build school communities where children can grow academically, spiritually, and personally. I earned my doctorate from Lee University, and I remain passionate about lifelong learning and servant leadership.

Beyond my professional life, I am a proud mother of three sons and grandmother of three wonderful grandchildren. Family is one of God’s greatest blessings in my life, and I cherish every opportunity to spend time with those I love.

When I am not at school, you will often find me in the kitchen trying new recipes and baking, hiking to waterfalls, spending time on or near the water, or traveling. I love exploring new places and experiencing God’s creation through travel. So far, I have visited 45 states, and one of my personal goals is to see all 50 before I turn 50.

As I begin this journey with Point Christian Academy, I look forward to building relationships with students, families, faculty, and staff. I am excited to partner together in creating a school culture rooted in faith, excellence, kindness, service, and love."

Point Christian Academy is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of its students on this year’s Iowa Basic Skills Test that was given in April. Compared to the national average, our students demonstrated exceptional academic performance, earning composite scores in the strong range and reflecting PCA’s commitment to academic excellence. These results highlight the dedication of our students, the faithful guidance of our teachers, staff, and the supportive partnership of our families. We rejoice in this accomplishment as a testament to God’s blessing and to the high standard of Christian education at Point Christian Academy.

What an incredible day at the 4th Annual PCA Golf Tournament! ⛳️

We are so grateful for everyone who came out to support Point Christian Academy and invest in the mission of Classical Christian education. From our golfers and sponsors to every volunteer who helped make the day possible, thank you for being part of such a special event.

A very special shoutout goes to Sandy and Brenda McKay and Marvin Fabry for their hard work, generosity, and dedication in helping make this tournament such a success. Their servant hearts and faithful support of PCA continue to be a tremendous blessing to our school community.

Days like this remind us how thankful we are for a community that believes in partnering together to cultivate wisdom, virtue, and faith in the lives of our students. Thank you all for making this tournament one to remember!
