๐บ๐ธ Patriot Day | September 11 ๐บ๐ธ
Today at Grace Academy, we took time to remember, honor, and reflect on one of the darkest days in our nationโs history.
This morning, we were honored to welcome SFC Tucker and the Chattanooga Recruiting Station as they spent time with our Lower School students and some of our Middle School students in remembrance of September 11. We are grateful for the opportunity our students had to meet those who serve our country and to learn more about the meaning of service and sacrifice.
We also had the privilege of hearing a very personal connection to September 11 from our own Officer Rose. Before serving and protecting our Grace Academy community, Officer Rose served as a police officer in New York City. She was there during the attacks on September 11, 2001, and served at various sites in the aftermath. Today, she shared a table of items she has kept from that time, giving our students a powerful glimpse into a day they know only through history.
Thank you, SFC Tucker and the Chattanooga Recruiting Station, for your service. And thank you, Officer Rose, for the years you have dedicated to serving others and for the way you continue to serve our school each day.
Today, we remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families whose lives were forever changed. Twenty-five years later, we still remember, we still honor, and we still pray for all those affected by September 11. ๐บ๐ธ
We will never forget.
